When my car was in for its oil cooler swap the garage mentioned that there was something bent out of shape behind the bumper. Can't remember what and they fixed it at the time.Well, not so much what I've done today, but recently. No pictures at the moment either, but...
I've fitted some VAG bag hooks in the boot. I've had them on several Audi saloon cars and they're very handy.
I also recently fitted a Bullitt front grille, with the chrome effect trim, painted black.
Curiously, while the front bumper was removed from the car, I noticed the A/C heat exchanger has a dent in it as if it has been crushed in the middle.
Has anyone else found damage from the factory, to this component or any other, I wonder??
How many winters has your car seen and been driven in? Looks great so far and I am curious as to how well these cars are holding up to the UK weather.Bought and fitted the BMR cb762 kit to the rear subframe. Took about an hour to get done.
Haven’t had chance to drive the car yet though.
Bought some 72lb injectors a few weeks back also from a US member on here but for got to order some top hats. These finally arrived today so will be swapping the 52lbs out in the next few days.
Also today, I thought I’d test fit a rear wheel on the front, partly because I was thinking of having a square set up with standard (rear) sized wheels/tyres all round.
Anyway, it doesn’t fit as the tyre fouls the upright. Also means a rear wheel is not a viable spare.
Mine looked ok when I put rear up to front , I have 25mm spacers on do you have any fittedAlso today, I thought I’d test fit a rear wheel on the front, partly because I was thinking of having a square set up with standard (rear) sized wheels/tyres all round.

Just gone 3 years old and 50k miles. How many winters has your car seen and been driven in? Looks great so far and I am curious as to how well these cars are holding up to the UK weather.
I'm running 19x10 front alloys with a ET40, 5mm spacer up front and i've got about a hand fist of room between the 275/40/19 rubber and the strut, i'd suggest looking at your alignment. Also today, I thought I’d test fit a rear wheel on the front, partly because I was thinking of having a square set up with standard (rear) sized wheels/tyres all round.

Pretty sure the stock rear was hitting the front brakes when I test-fitted. No spacers.I'm running 19x10 front alloys with a ET40, 5mm spacer up front and i've got about a hand fist of room between the 275/40/19 rubber and the strut, i'd suggest looking at your alignment.
Hitting... the brakes? really? Strut surely, but brake not a chance?Pretty sure the stock rear was hitting the front brakes when I test-fitted. No spacers.
Why not? I'm not about to go out and try it again but would be interested to see your working...Hitting... the brakes? really? Strut surely, but brake not a chance?
because they're wider than the fronts, and the offset means they shouldn't stick in closer than the fronts do? (that's the maths of it atleast...). The reality could be different. But if i can fit 19x10 et40's upfront with no spacer and clear brakes (yes 6pot brakes), then the OEMs should clear the brake too, no?Why not? I reckon the width combined with the offset puts the backspace a mil or two closer to the calipers (and a fair bit closer to the strut).because they're wider than the fronts, and the offset means they shouldn't stick in closer than the fronts do? strut i'd agree with it rubbing, the caliper just seems unatural if you ask me.... but i'm now tempted to get a GT rear brake and test it lolI reckon the width combined with the offset puts the backspace a mil or two closer to the calipers (and a fair bit closer to the strut).
