The Performance model runs 11 second quarter mile, so definitely has some muscle. It's been a great American made daily driver for me.

Sold my BMW M2 and my 2007 Porsche 911 Turbo for these two, couldn't be happier !

Tesla is like a roller coaster launch with a hum along the way, but not a muscle car no matter how fast it is.

It's a new school muscle car, made in America. I was using muscle in the sense of how it slams you into the driver's seat. Model S is even more ridiculous in terms of acceleration, lol. I will use "muscle" if it makes you feel better.

Nah, the Tesla is super quiet and has a great stereo for playing Def Leppard, Whitesnake, AC/DC, lol.

I did drive my friend's model S ... Impressive torque off the line. But he is complaining that his electricity bill has gone up by almost 300 bucks a month since he's got it; is this correct? He does drive it day in day out to work, about 30 miles each way.

The million dollar question is; would you sell your GT350R and live with an electric car only? If no, then why not enjoy a real car every day all day? I am thrilled to go shopping in my BMW, not just in my G350... It's just a driver's car. Tesla is a passenger's car.

Two different cars for different purposes. The R is for car shows and occasional fun drive, as well as track day car (Sebring, Homestead). Plus, Tesla is much better point and shoot car to drive in traffic, instant torque and super stable with center of gravity lower than the R. Make great stablemates

I'd love a Tesla for daily duties, however, for now my trusty 4th gen 4runner will have to do.
