Seems to be a bit of a trend around here

2008 Silverado with over 100,000 miles. Friday was the first day it let me down, the stater needs replacing! Good for the winter months.
Cleanest minimalist truck I've seen in a while. Something about the single cab, bright red and chrome wheels is reminiscent of how they used to make trucks years and years ago. Love it.

My R on the left; my DD on the right. Photo at Grattan. I don't own any cars that haven't seen a race track. The M Coupe is not mine.

2017 F80 M3 DCT - Works great with winter tires!

IMG_6618.jpg
I was waiting for someone to chime in with an F80 M3 as a daily, with winter tires. I always loved the M platform, and for a while I cross shopped the GT350 with an E92 M3 and F8x. If I had the money, I'd look into leasing one.

How does it compare to the Shelby?

Definitely a trend with the Raptor as a daily. I can't say I blame those of you who made that choice, it's a badass truck

An E92 335xi was my first car. Awesome car to have but headaches when it came to cost of ownership at that time. I was young and worked my ass off to have that thing. Taught me a lesson about what BMW stood for, "breaking my wallet". Ever since then I've wanted to jump into an M3 or M4, but if I did I'd have to lease. No way would I own one again.

Nope, that belongs to a friend. Will be driving the Nurburgring and Spa with the same guy next week!
Gotcha, awesome shot nonetheless. I never understood why some people are exclusively American, JDM or Euro only. There's awesome cars and shitty cars from every group, to say that all of one type is bad is kind of ignorant imo. I'd love to own one car from each, and if I was to pick for JDM, it would have to be an R35.

My daily driver is 2017 Shelby GT350.

I have 49,500 miles on it. I drive it in hot, cold, rain, snow and ice.

I maintain a separate set of wheels with snow tires. I have now demonstrated to numerous armchair theorists in real life who dont understand the law of physics that a manual transmission rear wheel drive car with snow tires is better than pretty much any automatic all wheel drive car on market today with all season tires. When it snows, I go out just for fun and find people staring at me hoping I will embarrass myself just for them to embarrass themselves (cannot tell you how many times this has happened).

Every fall I treat the entire undercarriage of my car with fluid film. Every 2-3 months in winter I put my car on jack stands and wash the undercarriage. I have 0 spec of rust anywhere on the frame (although the strut towers do have rust).

My car has ford performance exhaust, MGW shifter, CF driveshaft from QA1, and signature wheels.

In almost 50,000 miles, it has been to the dealer only 3 times. A/C broke at 8500 miles, differential pinion seal had to be replaced in 35,000 miles, and front control arm at 45,000 miles. Besides that 0 issues.

I change my oil every 4,000 miles and do blackstone oil reports. I also do all other scheduled maintenance as per manual such as cabin and engine air filter, fuel filter.

When I say my daily driver, I should say “our” daily driver because my wife drives the car (since day 1) more than me. When I see other people driving minivans and SUVs, I feel so sad about them. I could never be one of those normal suburb dads (no offense guys).

I press that start button every morning at 7am and hear the gt350 roar. My wife rows those gears every day to/from school, to grocery store, to my kid’s activities. Does not bother her car has MGW. She probably annoys all other soccer moms in their big ass Q7s and navigators but she doesnt care. I love her and appreciate her support. I should also mention when I met my wife long time ago, she was the one who taught me how to properly modulate the clutch. Yes she is cool like that.

Oh and because I am into these mean/raw/monsterous cars so much I just got a 2017 C7 ZR1. It has Akrapovic evo and MGW. Imagine GT350 and ZR1 cruising the streets of a quiet american neighborhood. Sometimes we go on these drives just for fun.
