Early morning weekend drives

Who else likes to get out early when it’s cooler and less activity on the roads? Just took a nice hour drive in a rural country side with sun coming up. Feel like a million bucks!

Hell yes!!!

I sometimes get up around 5AM, and go out to Shenandoah National Park, get there before sunrise. Catch the sunrise up on the mountains, with coffee, my car, no one else around.

It is absolutely the most de-stressing thing I do. Pure relaxation.

I just took a drive last night around 11 am. It's been miserably humid and hot the last few days but a storm just hit so it was a lovely 60 and breezy (full moon and friday the 13th ). This car just loves sucking in that cool air at WOT.

For many years...
Religiously on Sunday morning, I use to get up at 4am and take my "sportscar" on the open road for a some freestyle raging. Once had a trooper catch me raging, while on an overpass... no way he would catch me. The following week the exact same thing. The third week he was waiting for me...

We had a nice earnest conversation on the side of the highway. The following week, he just flashed his brights! (Went on for years.)

Yes! Went to a C&C this morning, didn't leave until 8a, but it was f***ing glorious, top down, semi-cool breeze, exhaust in track mode
