Come on guys,this was never about beating the yanks,it was about paying homage to the Mustang.We had a minutes silence for Lee Iococca and a fly past of a 1944 p51 mustang.
I'm sure when organized you'll beat it easily.

I agree with all the others who were there: We had a fantastic day - the Ford team did a great job on this one - and considering the weather forecast: Wow, were we lucky or what ?!

The official goals were setting these records; largest Mustang-only gathering, largest Mustang parade and largest choreography (which we thought was quite fun actually)... But the best part was just to be together with so many other passionate people !

I love the heritage. The P-51 has dual importance to me. My father went to school back in the day to learn how to service them, and he used to sit and tell me all about those planes. Seeing its link to the Mustang car just adds to the coolness.

That's not even close to a world record, I think?? American muscle show tops that and I would also think that all fords at Carlisle tops it too. I could be wrong so please correct me if needed! I've been wrong before. Either way, congrats to the ultimate pony car!

Agreed. I was at the American Muscle show in June and there were WAY more than 1300 cars there...Having said that, it seems like this was a nice event. Would have enjoyed being there.

If you look closely at the last picture a few posts up you can see that they had painted little pony logos on the tarmac, perfectly lined out, in preparation of the event and every row had its own parking volunteer with a pole with a stop sign to make every arriving car line up exactly.
