Hey,

So I'm having trouble figuring out what's happening in these photos which is making googling a fix quite difficult.

It's happening at the front of the car on the lip in front of the hood thats apart of the front bumper.

I've tried clay bar and machine polishing with an all in one (meguiars). But maybe I need to be more aggressive?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

How did the clay bar feel going over it? Did you try the plastic baggie trick where you put your hand in a ziploc baggie and run it over that area? If that's just wax/sealant residue you should be able to get it off with a fingernail without scratching the paint. If not, yeah, the clear-coat looks like it's getting FUBAR. And if it was residue that you missed buffing off, you'd likely see it on the hood too. Looks pretty long too but it's all at the top edge of the front fascia. Not an expert but I'd think if it was the clear it'd start at the back edge, like if you pop the hood and push down/pull back the hood gasket you'd likely see it there too.

Looks like you have rubbed off the black paint.

Very hard to tell from the photos. My first thought was paint over spray but then zooming in on that first photo it looks like a tar/glue residue? Have you tried a tar/glue remover specific product? Does it feel like something is stuck on to the paint?

If that is over spray, then you'll have to give it a wet sand, then polish I would say.

Very bizarre though...good luck!
