It may be too late. Call Watson Racing and ask for Frank. Tell him you want in on the group buy.

I can't wait for mine to come in....
For those that don't want to drill and use bolts, Frank ran engineering data for a less obtrusive weld pattern where you could weld 1" on and 1" off. If the roll cage was to be removed, you would have an easier time removing it with a staggered weld pattern as opposed to going all the way around the base of the rear support.

I don't like drilling holes, especially if I can stagger a weld that can be removed later.

That's an interesting piece of info, thanks for sharing!

I've drilled another car. It is a lot of work and the end result is holes in the trunk if you remove the cage. Holes are forever. 1" welds can be cut and ground with no permanent damage to the substrate. The hardware (bolts and brackets) are extra weight anyway.

Awesome job getting this going. If I didn't have the CMS bar still sitting in my garage I'd be on this.

What was the eta of completion again?
Whenever they get around to it I guess. I haven't talked to Frank lately. I'm so swamped, I really don't care. Just the fact that they are coming is ok with me.

I talked to Frank on Tuesday. He was apologetic and confirmed that they are pretty swamped. He said will be contacting us by email to update on progress. Should be completed as a batch in next few weeks.

Folks,

I have been informed by Frank that the cages are complete and ready to be shipped!

If anyone has any questions, please reach out to Frank.

Great news, Frank weighed the entire roll cage plus hardware and it came in at 42 pounds!

Another update. Watson manufactured a few extra. contact me if anyone would like one of these rare, one-off engineering masterpieces. Holy crap, I still cant believe 42 pounds.

I don't see a link to send you a PM. Call Watson Racing and ask for Frank. Tell him you want one of the lightweight 4pt roll cages in the group buy.
