So based on these numbers we are on track for a total of roughly 3400 R’s by the end of 2020 ?
I would suggest that your estimate is not very far off and would even suggest that it may be even closer to ~3300 R's by the end of the 2020 MY.

With the FRAP producing the Lincoln model along with the Mustang lineup of Bullitts, EcoBoosts, Mustang GT, GT500 and GT350/R's (along with right hand drive cars) I suggest that it will be a very busy place and think that the GT350/R lineup may take a backseat to some of the other models therefore am thinking that R model production for 2020 will be down substantially this coming year.

3500 cars over the years is very low numbers. Consider the previous low number Mustangs like the 69 and 70 Boss 302's, Boss 429's and 71 CJ cars.

It has been quite a while since we last communicated but did you not have a Base R in Oxford White with Blue OTT stripes and if so do you still have it?

:)

Yes, I still have the base 350R.
Did you purchase your car from an Orlando dealership? That dealership had a difficult time moving their base R. It was white with blue ott stripes

Not sure if you are referring to the 3 Base R models that were ordered and allocated to an Orlando dealership in early 2018 and then all 3 cars arrived shortly after they were built in April 2018 just before the May 1st embargo whereby no more Base R models could be ordered and built after that date?

If so that Oxford White Base R model was eventually bought by @Tomster and if you are talking about another MY then that is something totally different.

BTW, all of those 3 Base R models ordered by that dealership in Orlando all had consecutive VIN numbers.

I am surprised as much as you are with respect to the production numbers for the 2019 R Model and if you were lead to believe that only ~420 units to be built I would not be happy either.

Of the last 5 MY's only the 2017 production numbers the 2019 production numbers with 942 R's produced in 2017.

If you are interested in low production numbers from a year to year standpoint I will suggest that the 2020MY will have the lowest R Model production numbers for the last 6 years aside from the anomaly 50th Anniversary 2015MY whereby only 37 cars were produced which surprised me a bit since there were only 36 R's produced in 1965.

I was speaking to a Ford dealership employee up in Canada who I have known for a long time with him being with Ford for 42 years and he has been told that Canada will only be getting 10 R Models for the 2020MY and if that is the case those numbers will certainly suggest that the U.S. will also not be getting very many R Models for this upcoming year.

With you just getting your 2019 R I am sure that you are not interested in a 2020 R but for those who are I suggest that they pull the trigger very soon if they can find an allocation for a 2020 R.

If someone can land an early 2020 R that would be pretty cool as I was very lucky to locate the earliest R model for 2017 and passed the information along to a great friend who pulled the trigger on the car and now resides in his cool car collection.

Hello from Georgia! I was just reading your post and decided to comment. I picked up my new 2020 GT350R last week and didn't realize the chassis number until I got home.... :-)

I think by the time 2020 production is complete the numbers will be approximately :

GT 350 BASE = 15,000 units

GT 350 R = 3000 units

2015-2020.
Based on over 5900 built in 2017, your number of 15K seems low for the GT350.

I still can't get over how many R's were made in 2017. Almost 1k. Wow. I think they should've made only 526 each year.
Bite your tongue. If that were the case then I wouldn't have HR815!
