I'll try and get some better pics later. I do have one question/concern. The factory lug nuts have a huge beveled head. The monster lugs have the dame taper, but the overall contact area is smaller. Should I be concerned?

Generally, the larger seat lug nuts are better - more surface area to bear against the wheel and spread the load. That said, it's probably not a problem until you start going to track days on a recurring basis. Just make sure they're properly torqued and you should be golden.

That's kind of what I figured. I torqued to 120 ft-lb. The manual says 150, the box for the new lug nuts says 98. I tried to split the difference.

Torque wrench question. I had to use a 1/2" to 3/8" step down. Does that affect the amount of torque actually applied vs what the wrench is ticking off at?

No, the 1/2" to 3/8" step down will not affect the torque applied.

Excellent, you got them! As I mentioned, I'm running my black ones now, but today (finally, after a week delay ...), I'm getting in my orange endcaps, I'll install and shoot a photo later. :)
They came 6 days ago, but we road tripped to Arkansas and I didn't have time to put them on. Left work a little early to do some research at the courthouse, got home before anyone else, and presto! I really like the look, except I may have to change the red stripe to something just a little darker.

Can't wait to see yours with the end caps.

Good deal. I couldn't remember if I read somewhere that step downs and extension affect the torque or not. I'll double check the lug nuts at lunch time. Thanks again

You may have to apply more physical force in order to register the same amount of torque due to the extra connection, but the wrench itself is what calculates the torque setting, so that won't change at all.

Thanks - looking at the web page of the manufacturer, those shifter balls are made of stainless steel, and then powder coated. Not exactly what I was looking for, but still nice. Will have to ponder on that for a bit.
Thanks for the link!
Not a problem!
I'm going to get one eventually. Stainless steel is great, plus powder coating, it "shouldn't" fade or wear out. If it does,....I'll just buy a new one. lol
But it's for my sunny/awesome day cruiser, so it won't see much use anyways.

Even if powder coated, wouldn't stainless get hot? Just my .02

It "probably" would.
No worries for me as I don't use my car all the time and it almost never gets parked unless at a car show. I haven't heard of any issues with the sun/heat from the people that have these installed.
I think there are a bunch on this forum. If I recall correctly.
