NA 18 GT factory fuel system is sufficient to support e85. Considering factory crank HP is rated at 460 and mine dyno at the wheel at 490. Pretty good gains for the $.

Thanks, looks like just under 2k for a full kit, for 80hp.

I think ill just enjoy the factory 760 for now.
GT500 shouldn't require much more than a $600 BAP to run E85. If you start adding pulleys and other mods then bigger injectors may be needed at some point.

I have been wondering why no duel fuel, direct/port injection on the GT500 like the 18/19 GT's? Easier to tune without?

The real benefits are when the boost is upped as well. for under 2k, you will get a lot of bang for your buck.

Nguage tuner+tune $500
Pulley $300
Belt $50
Boost-A-Pump $450

Easily 150rwhp over stock. At that point you will likely be running at max fuel system capability for E85. Injectors, lines, pumps and fittings will clear the road for 4 digit HP

simplicity. DI is great for cars that want to maximize a lot of performance with commuter capabilities; in an application like this, there is no point when tried and true ways are available and easier to deal with

To be completly accurate, mine had the new Steeda closed box intake, Corsa sport axle back and resonator delete. The 490 was with those bolt on parts. Nothing esle.

The Corsa exhaust was not cheap. All in for those mods over $2500. Does not include the suspension mods.

I wish I had a dyno prior to mods but no such luck.

Not to rain on your parade - I mean seriously, this is just a friendly discussion - but that must've been one heck of an optimistic dyno. That's ~575 FWHP, and if the conditions were like you said, your MPH seems to be a bit low.

agreed. I would accept 490 at the crank - ie. they backed into that number from measured wheel based on some assumed drive-line loss compensation figure. Comparisons without pre/post mod runs are basically useless.

If dude can post the weight of his car with him in it. You can calulate hp. Its gonna take decent power to trap 120 plus in a Mustang. I never could trap more than 116. Race weight 4100. With full bolt-ons. In this car.

I went 121-123 with 470whp
Doesnt sound that off
Yeah, it's pretty close, his slips show 120-121 with another 20RWHP, I figured he'd be up another 2 MPH - I mean, I wouldn't even mentioned that expect the 490 is pretty high vs. what I've seen for most other E85 cars (including cars with headers, that he doesn't have).

Don't get me wrong, I'm about to get a E-fuel tune, I hope I get that kind of power :D
