8.5hr job. Damn. Mine doesn't have any weird noises(yet) but I'm curious if they would warranty it with me being FBO lol.

Ours has had the chirp and the rattle since a few days after we bought it. Had the dealer do the first oil change at just over 5k. I recorded video of both the chirp and rattle and showed it to the SA. He said he heard it and he’d like to keep the overnight since it’s real noticeable on a cold start.

They called the next day, said they heard both noises. They called Ford about it and were told to check another 5.0 and the only other 5.0 was a Bullitt which had the same chirp. The SA told me that he’d like his engine specialist to look at it but he’s on vacation so they asked me to come back when the specialist is working.

I dropped it off for the second time last Wednesday and they’ve had it ever since. At least they gave me a new Lincoln Nautilus to drive in the meantime. It’s no Mustang for sure but my god is it comfortable!

Hi all, UK member here who has noticed this chirping noise on my 2019 GT.
Did anyone get an update on this or have the TSB work carried out?
Unfortunately the TSB is not showing on the European system but that could be down to the fact that not enough people have reported it yet.
Basically I am trying to find out should I be worried that it will lead to damage/failure if I don’t get it looked at.

Sounds like an idler pulley for the serpentine belt, They will typically quiet down with temps, down the road, needs to be changed. Not a big problem but annoying, DIY folks can change it. Good time to change the belt, pulley is most likely about 30 bucks. Common problem.

When it begins to NOT get quiet with temp, address it for sure. Me I'd replace it at the annoying stage

Happens when the car gets hot not at start up. Hasn’t happened since last summer Only happened whenever the car was driven hard.

Oh must have snagged a bird, on a serious note. The sound clips sound like an idler, ever heard one ?

Just saying

This would be the perfect time to install some MMR oil pump gears and crank sprocket while they have it opened up.

Bit late here but that's actually the specific circumstance the tsb notes.

I'm curious if anyone, with more expertise than I possess, knows if there's any serious issues that could occur if this is just ignored? I'd like to believe that it's not something that could compromise the longevity of the engine because it's a tsb and not a recall. But I'm also not shy to admit that my brain will sooner draw the conclusion that keeps me away from having my engine torn into, again.

I also have this with my 19GT, but I really don't want to have the dealer touch if it's not damaging to the motor.
