Ain’t no way I'm selling a Zo6 and keeping a Mustang. And I really like Mustangs.

That 8 speed is truly a pile of dog shit lol.
In manual mode even tho a slight delay when driving the Z hard those shifts sound like a damn jet and it shifts hard! Otherwise yes the 8 speed in auto mode shifts way to early and runs thru the gears. Manual mode in automatic you get all kinds of crackles and pops holding in gear at 3-4K rpms. But it literally sounds like a jet when shifting in manual mode.

I don't mind the 8 speed in the Z06 but the paddle shifter delay is absolutely terrible. . . terrible.

...but the wife won't let me...
I have never, ever, ever understood this concept and have therefore never uttered or written those words.

But somehow I almost feel sorry for the people who were once men, who unfortunately do!

If the reaction time was better it wouldn't be that bad. And it does shift hard and fast. It's just REACTION that's awful. Plus I know reliability hasn't been its strong suit. Pump issues and such. Same deal in the 8Lxx iterations for the trucks too.

I traded my 16 Stingray A8 for my 16 Mustang GT PP, 6 speed, and couldn't be happier! The GT is way more fun to drive and with the Roush cat back sounds awesome! Also have found that the Coyote's power is much more usable down low, where the Corvette really came on on the top end !

I’ve had the 2018 Z06 for about 2 years now. Went and got a 17 GT with Performance Package pre owned with only 8kmiles. The Z06 has 1800 miles and I’ve put close to 3k miles on ithe GT since I’ve taken ownership. It had a Borla ATAK catback on it with the resonators replaces with an x pipe. 6 speed. My honest opinion is that I have more fun driving the GT, besides the exterior looks of the Z06 and it’s Supercharger making 650HP and TQ. I am now honestly thinking about selling my Z06 and just keeping the GT. I don’t see why I should waste any more money. But still in the back of my mind I don’t want to regret it either.
Bro you won't... You're realizing the difference between a garage queen and an actual drivers car... The GT is probably the best all around high performance car you can buy right now...

If u sold the vette you wont miss it... Simplicity is underrated sell the Z06 enjoy the GT and the money you save...

If u get bored buy a supercharger

You ever notice that you can find used vettes, exotics, etc with less than 10k miles any day of the week? But finding a low miles used GT that isn't nodded or beat is Damn near impossible? There's a reason for that, despite the bullshit u see on motortrend...

The worst thing you can do to a car is leave it in a garage... Cars deserve better than that. If u arent using it let it go...

Had a quick getaway to VA beach this weekend. Took the vette, as soon as I pulled in hotel pictures galore. Def a head turner but my ass and back are so sore from the seats.

I had a 2016 C7 2LT Z51 and then supercharged it. There is no way that that my current Stang handles as good or feels more grounded than the vette. Also I actually feel the C7 amenities are better than the Stang too and the Stang could add some features that are in the vette, like PDR, head up display, suspension settings stay where you had them, stereo is better, downward tilting side mirrors and friends say the vette exhaust was louder stock for stock. So why am I in a Stang now and not the vette? Money of course. Needed to lower my monthly payment a lot but still wanted a nice V8 and the Stang is a very nice car and I do enjoy it. Living in Hawaii definitely changes things money wise and there is no room for the SC to be ran. Plus I love all cars and have never had a Stang so after 8 years in vettes it was time for a change. To the OP if you can keep both I would, two different cars if you drive them the way they were meant to be, meaning don't baby the vette lol. If I get back to the mainland I may SC the Stang or get a C8 if money allows.

PS: as someone said the vette does shift hard and fast with the auto, love it. Never had any mechanical issues and had 45k miles on it.

liking a mustang more than an a vette isn't a shot at the vette or saying the Mustangs necessarily the better car at everything... Theyre just different tools. A mustang is designed from, the ground up to be a street car. And it does that incredibly well. The vette isn't... Its a racecar with normal paint. With racecar maintenance, ergonomics, ride quality.

Liking The mustang more as a street car makes sense because thats what its designed for...

A car is just a tool like a wrench. a torque wrench isn't less of a wrench than a socket wrench... Its just more specialised and therefore not as practical as a socket...

I guess the point is pick the right tool for the job. And why keep a torque wrench if you will never need to precisely torque a bolt? Its just taking up space and costing u money. Even if u own it. It's a car so its a financial liability.

Sometimes less is more...

The stang has sync 3... It doesn't get better than that. Id take sync 3 over all that combined...

A lot of people that that buy Vettes buy them for a second or even third car. Not many buy them for a daily driver. And if you really notice the closer to base model vettes you get to the more “driven” they are. Most buy a 35k mustang to drive and beat on. Most buy a 75k+ vette to bring out when the weather is nice. Not to say the Z06 can’t be a DD, I know many in Vegas that have money like that, or don’t and have to use a car like that for a daily. But most drive their 90k trucks and throw miles on them and bring their toy out on sunny days.
