THANK YOU!!!!!

I've been searching for '18MY ones for ages, so this must have hit the market in the last few weeks!! Not available in the UK yet, so I've just paid $27 postage on a $15 model

Oh well, it can be an early Christmas present to myself

Nice!

eBay find?

I have quite a few Mustang die-casts stored away that I had purchased many years ago. Many have appreciated very well in value, while others are just above retail values.

The original GMP 1:18’s are sought after for their higher detail and low volume of production units. Not to mention that GMP has closed shop, but are now back on the market as “ACME”. ACME has been re-popping more Fox era Mustangs using some of the original “GMP” molds from the early runs.

I have the GMP 1985 CA Highway Patrol still in its box - that has jumped in value over the last 3-5 years. Last I checked, the 1993 Cobra and Cobra R’s from GMP are getting anywhere between $350-$600, depending on color (standard 93 Cobras) and their actual serial numbers.

——

Jouef Evolution was another 1:18 die cast company. Their cars were not highly detailed to the level of GMP interiors, BUT they were sought after if you could find the ones with correct color schemes. I have their 65 GT350 white/blue stripes black int, 65 GT350H Hertz in correct black w/gold stripes w/black int and the 1994 Shinoda BOSS again in correct orange w/black BOSS decals, cowl hood, black int, correct rims and rear spoiler. All are still in sealed boxes.

——
I also have the first run of the 1:18 ERTL 1968 McQueen Bullitt.

One could literally spend hours searching online for all of the 1:18 Mustangs... there’s so many out there...

Yes, eBay. Only place you can really find them. My die cast collection is mainly NASCAR, specifically Jeff Gordon. Also a number of NY Yankee cars and dragsters. Add in some F1 and other specialty cars and the number jumped up to over 150. They are all still packed up from when we moved to SC two years ago.

Mustang’s only number three at this point. The 68’ GT/CS, a 68’ High Country and the original Bullitt car. And my favorite is my GMP 66’ Fairlane GTA, my first car.

I have (two of; [senior moment?]) the MotorMax that matches my 2018 yellow Yellow YELLOW coupe. I was disappointed to read on the bottom that it is 1:39 scale. Required a new category among my thousand or so 1:43 entries in the Asset Manage database. Not a bad piece for its size and price.

Too many photos follow:
