I always try to keep my phone's for at least 3 years. Currently rocking a note 8. I try to buy top of the line to have a future proof phone that will last several years. I truly think this phone will make it to 4 years or more. Best phone I have ever had by far. Not bad considering that I ended up paying about $500 for a new one 2 years ago.

I switched from Android phones (which I've used since 2011) to an iPhone XR earlier in the year. Hated it. I missed so many features I've grown accustomed to... Always-on screen notifications/clock, google apps (calendar, email, etc) are so much better (why does the Apple email app make old emails so hard to find? Don't even get me started on Apple Maps and how, even though you can get Google maps, it's integrated into other apps so you're forced into using it.). Also, the screen of the XR got to be a real annoyance... the lower resolution was just pitiful for 2019.

So, I switched back to Google recently with a Pixel 3a XL. Half the price of the XR with a lot better specs (especially the screen). My girlfriend is still upset that I don't have iMessage, but oh well... I think the only thing I miss about the iPhone was its stellar battery life; I got used to charging it every other day.

Samsung Note 8. I'm tempted to get the Note 10+ but I think I'm going to wait for the 11 and see if they make any big changes. I'm not real happy that they got rid of the headphone jack. Yeah I know they have dongles.

Note3. Got it in 2013. It still works but it's showing it's age. Battery needs charging 2 or 3x a day. It get's slower every year. The screen is starting to de-laminate at the top corner so I think it's time to upgrade. Thinking of the S10+ or the upcoming Pixel4.

Still using an iPhone 8 Plus. It works perfectly so I refuse to upgrade to a newer model.

Moto E4, bought a year ago for $100. Great phone, camera is just ok, but for the price... battery lasts, takes external memory.
