I have gunmetal type rims on my ruby red, I think they look awesome.

To me black rims don't look good on a ruby red but that's just my opinion.

Im going back and forth, keep as is or put on PP1 black wheels and black out chrome. I been getting tons compliments as is. But the Man in me wants the blacked out treatment. Im honestly 50/50 here.
I'd go black wheels and blacked out badges. I've always liked red and black as a color combo.

I was never crazy about black painted wheels on any of my cars, but I have to agree with some here the Ruby Red and black combo go well together

I like black wheels just fine. They do look good. Gives an aggressive look. Cleaning the PP1 wheels sucks. So if you don't care about dirty wheels, or spending a lot of time getting in the spokes, and cleaning all 60 edges inside the spokes, per wheel, go for it. If he is giving them to you, no reason not to at least try em though. Having two sets isn't a bad thing.

But at the end of the day i really prefer a silver ish color. (Or bronze, gunmetal, grey, white etc) you can actually see what the wheel looks like.

Love my PP1 but can confirm, cleaning the wheels is a PITA...
This;

They are a tremendous PITA to keep clean. Stick with the wheels you have.

Oh I know that is why I bought this long trapezoidal shaped microfiber thing. dunk it in the soap bucket and basically just stab it in between the spokes. can clean the whole wheel in just a min. I learned on my car I sold. doing it with cloth took forever... and Ill have them ceramic coated before putting them on. But I think the black Might be worth the effort :)

Bought an entire new decklid. Here's my build/impressions thread and links to grilles and deck lid.

I mean....if you're getting the wheels for free, sure. No way in hell would I pay any $$ for them.

Have a link to your "trapezoidal shaped microfiber thing"? What I use currently isn't cutting it for me. Also thinking about ceramic coating the car/wheels soon than later.
