Maybe not, but you might as well just stay NA if your goal is to not spin.
I guess it all depends on each persons goals. I'm sure once I upgrade from the edelbrock stock tune and add some other supporting mods I will be entering that territory. Of course I might already be there once my all seasons go back on in a couple of weeks. Personally the thought of having to pedal the car at highway speed doesn't sounds fun, but then again I am getting old!

You're right, white knuckling it getting on the freeway (especially when non-speed racer family members are in the car) is not the greatest time in the world. Tires (and suspension, to a degree) are relatively cheap and easy to upgrade if the current power level is too much, I suppose.

Wouldn't the Centris be more friendly to a 3.73 setup aside from the 5th gear shift? I think any of the PD's would be spin city. That's my thought process at least. That's too much torque down low.

Depending on which tune I have loaded, I make 700- 800 whp. I have found switching to 3.31s from 3.73s to be one of the best mods I have done to the car, next only to the Whipple. Car is quicker in the 1/4 mile by almost a half a second now that I don't shift into 5th when crossing the traps and have a much more manageable launch.

If you plan on making this your daily and going over 600 whp with boost, I'd highly recommend 3.31s.

I have 3.73 and love how it pulls, but don't have anything to compare to so I might also love 3.31's. For me it was never a big deal to change out since I don't drag.

This is depressing. I'm boosted and have 3.73 and am hitting the track again next week. I guess it's 5th gear for me until I get some different gears...

longer gears = longer time in boost
This...
I had 3.73's and first through third was a spinfest and 4th would spin above 5500 if it was cooler out - even with NT05R's or R888R's. Still had the 3.73's for most of the life span of my last set of R888R's, which was approx 1,500 miles before they were toast. At $900+ per pair of R888R's, I'm not sure changing to 3.31's or 3.15's is really that expensive if the change can significantly reduce the constant spinning and improve tire longevity. Switched to 3.15's with a new pair of R888R's and there is still some spin, but it is significantly reduced - tbd on the tire life........

If, one wanted to go a lower gear number than 3.15 with a 6r80 and a 3c stall to help increase motor load to get turbos to spool up faster when putting around town would that help?

I just went from 3.73's to 3.31's on my whipple stage 2. It's honestly one of the best upgrades I've done on my car. You can do 60mph pulls starting in 2nd (comes pretty quickly to and end though) and when you throw it into 3rd it pulls for what feels like forever, run the 4th out and you're going to jail if caught. No regrets at all, go with confidence.

What were you trapping? I'm trying to figure out how you pulled that off when I'm at the top of 4th at like 105 with the same height tire.
