Apparently you havnt seen the kind of lap times a ZL1 or better yet a ZL1 1LE runs.

GM hasnt needed a Z28. Although Id still like to see a 550+hp NA Z28 before the car dies off again.
Again you have issues :lipssealed:

I would bet GM time would be on a prepped track.
Probably a prepped track, with 1 foot rollout, after a burnout, with 1/4 tank of the best gas, with sub 120 lbs driver, in perfect weather. I still dont think its possible though even with all these requirements with the stock tires but we will see.

You mean the same condition EVER manufacture uses to report the best results they obtained. Surely you dont think Ford's claim of 3.9 was at the local stop light with a full tank of fuel in 110* weather?

All testing is done at a proper track, and they usually can be backed up at a proper track. No one is doing a 3.9 0-60 at the stop light, but its been proven to be repeatable at a drag strip.

Reminds me of the Demon numbers and how few people were able to recreate that. People need to understand that just because a car is capable of these numbers doesn't mean that everyone is going to be able to replicate.

American manufacturers are usually claiming their peaks, not the more real world worst case like Porsche would.

No one was able to. Plenty of videos of guys with Hellcats that can't even get below a 4 sec 0-60. that's why 0-60 times are garbage. Anyone who went out and bought a C8 even partially because of 0-60 times is a dumb ass.

Something something GT500 bad.

Something something C8 awesome.

Change my mind.

That doesn't seem like under 3 seconds :cwl:
Motor Trends response.

I'll take 3.17 to 60MPH all frickin day on a Non-prepped public street.

Should beat about 99% of all Production vehicles on the planet.

C7 ZR1s won't touch this on a public street, or Camaro ZL1 1LE.

The Street King is back.

If some high horsepower car catches up I'll be at 85MPH+ and the race will be over in regular street racing.

But I would never street race, cough, cough!

Before the C8 reveal I was hoping for a Sub 3.5 on a prepped surface.

These times are surreal on a public street.

There is something really off kilter with the C8 design - when I see the shop'ed up glamor shots on the Chevy site, it looks pretty good but this (quick cap from the video above) and other real world photos:

Front too high? Wheels too small? Doors too thick? Cabin in the wrong place?
