I want to install long studs on my 2018 EBPP MR car for a 19x11 square setup. Since this is my daily, I can't have the car off the road for more than a weekend, so I'm thinking about buying a pair of hub bearing assemblies to install the studs ahead of the swap. However, I'm finding several PN's out there for Shelby / non-Shelby cars, and the dealership is trying to sell me a PN that is neither Shelby nor MR in the description. Hoping that one of the PN gurus can verify WTF is going on here... This is my PN list to date:

Hub Assembly - Ford (FR3Z-1109-A)
· Description: Mustang. Magnetic damping. With brembo, with shelby, gt350r.
· Replaces: FR3Z-1104-D, HUB-299-
· 2018 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350, Shelby GT350R
· 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R

Ford (FR3Z-1104-A)
· Fitting Vehicle Options: 50th Anniversary Edition; Base; GT; Sub C
· Fit Note: North American Markets
· Production Date: 08/2014-

Ford (FR3Z-1104-C)
· Fitting Vehicle Options: Shelby
· Fit Note: Front Coil Spring - Monotube, Front Coil Spring-Stand Magnaride, North American Markets
· Production Date: 07/2015-
· Replaced By FR3Z-1104-F

Ford (FR3Z-1104-D) HUB-299 (no longer available)

Ford (FR3Z-1104-F)
· Fitting Vehicle Options: Shelby
· Fit Note: Front Coil Spring - Monotube, Front Coil Spring-Stand Magnaride, North American Markets
· Production Date: 10/2017-

Ford (FR3Z-1104-G)
· Fitting Vehicle Options: 50th Anniversary Edition; Base; GT; Sub C
· Production Date: 08/2014-
· Ford GT 2017-2018 6 Cyl 3.5L GTDI 7-Speed Automatic Transmission DCT
· Ford Mustang 2015-2018 4 Cyl 2.3L TIVCT DI TC, 6 Cyl 3.7L PFI NA, 8 Cyl 5.0L MOD DOHC SEFI NA, 8 Cyl 5.2L 10-Speed Automatic Transmission (10R80), 6-Speed Automatic Transmission (6R80), 6-Speed Manual Transmission-3160, 6-Speed Manual Transmission-MT82, Rear-Wheel Drive, Rear-Wheel Drive (Right Hand Drive)

1104-G is what the dealership is selling, but 1109-A seems like the most likely suspect.

Thanks in advance for any guidance!

Why not just run extended studs with both sets of tires. I run extended studs with longer open ended lugs. They don't completely cover the stud but I bet you could find some longer if you wanted them to.

That's exactly what I want to do, but I have read that the hubs for MR cars are different than non-MR cars. I don't know what the difference is, and I don't want to buy any parts until I have the difference sorted out. If it was just a matter of buying Shelby parts that would be one thing, but there are wildcards on the Shelby side, too (aluminum spindle, etc.)

Adding a little bit to this - it looks like Ford Racing's hub kit with extended studs is based on the -1104 hub, judging by the PN (M-1104-AB):
https://www.fordracingparts.com/part/M-1104-AB
They've specifically noted the kit as NOT applicable to MR equipped cars:
"Fits 2015-2019 Mustang GT, 2.3L EcoBoost and V6. Does not fit vehicles equipped with MagneRide suspension"

From a post by @lil'Zeus in "The Big Fat Track Car Cooling Thread", it looks like the PN for 2018 GT's with MR is FR3V-2C299-BC. My EBPP hubs are also splined, but I don't recall seeing a PN etched into them. I'll pull a wheel again to verify if EBPP's are the same as GTPP's and report back. Any luck? I'm trying to do the same and can't seem to find the proper part number unless it's the same as the shelbys.

I think it must be the same as the Shelbys - enough that I bought a pair of '19 GT350R hubs off of eBay a month ago - I haven't taken them or my car apart yet, so no direct comparison, but the PN on the Shelby hubs is the same as the '18 MR photo above - except for the last two digits on the hub bearing. BC on the PP2, CB on the 350R. That may be a function of the 350R having super long studs already installed, though. Not sure.

I finally got around to installing the '19 GT350R bearings in my '18 EBPP+MR spindles - everything fits like it was born that way.

Other than the long studs, the only difference in the wheel bearings is the last two digits of the PN - "-BC" for EBPP on top, "-CB" for the GT350R on the bottom:

The bearing assemblies are the same, too - depth of the outer shell, as well as depth of the inner hub:

I've got some small diameter open ended lug nuts on the way that will fit my 11" wheels, so I'm running my original EBPP wheels with autoX stickies or now:

@TicTocTach I know this is an older thread but I found this in my research. I have a Bullitt with MagneRide and am looking to get away from the bolt-on spacers I currently use. I was wondering if there is enough length to these factory GT350R studs to accommodate a 1" spacer and stock wheels? Thanks!

Totally… they’re like 4” long so you can go nuts if you want. Here’s a 20mm spacer on mine from the Brembo swap I did last week:

Get ARP extended wheel studs. Remove the hub from the upright. Knock the existing studs out with a hammer while supporting the back side of the hub face (so you don't mess up the bearing). Use Lisle wheel stud tool with 3/8" rechargeable impact to install new studs. Refit hub to upright. Use open back Ford Performance wheel nuts.

1-2 hours for the job.
