The dyno could be off but they already ran a previous model year GT350 and gave the numbers I don’t see why they would have any incentive to lie and bump the numbers up knowing it’s the same engine
Once again, this has already been explained. The previous GT350 was put on a dyno outside of the environment at World Motorsports. The 2019 was put in this new environment where they make more power, as the owners of the dyno explain.

I doubt this car is making 495whp, Ford didn’t do any major changes to account for the whp increase. I don’t doubt that they've gotten the CNC program and the guys on the line making the engine have nailed down the engines build over the last couple of years. But to go from 467whp to 495whp and we Ford didn’t change cams, compression, intake manifold

yeah okay

Read this as well and like most here, I dont put a lot of stock in dynos. But, My 19R, with aftermarket aluminum wheels weighing in at the stock weights feel much faster then my 16. I wrote it off to imagination now, Im not sure of that

One thing I just thought about now, aren't the '19+ heads the same flow rates as the GT500? The guys who have ported their 16 - 18 stock heads have seen some very real power gains. @honeybadger 's 545 RWHP dyno pull didn't come from a throttle body spacer......

You're not imagining anything. There's a lot of difference between a 16 non-R and a 19R. Should feel faster, quicker and lighter on its feet because it is. The 19 Non-R's have improved with the cup2's and recal suspension but the R is still the King.

IIRC @honeybadger's heads didn't get ported, just rebuilt with more robust parts to handle the sustained high RPM. Same thing with the bottom end. His 545 RWHP was with a cat-less non-factory exhaust and a non-factory tune running E85. It doesn't surprise me that it compares favorably to the car in the dyno test reported by the OP, which was a stock 2019.

Anybody put a 19 GT350 on a dyno yet?
I plan to in the next couple of weeks, as soon as I get past 1000 miles. I'm at about 900 at this point. I've already called the local mustang performance shop and discussed prices and options.

So, stay tuned!!

The 2019 GT350 was tested by Car and Driver and it did the 1/4 mile in 12.5 @ 117. That's the same exact ET and trap speed the 2016 model did, so I don't think the newer car is any more powerful.

It's possible they dynoed SAE before and the higher STD now. Or they used 2 different types of dynoes and it's not comparable anyway.
