New member, potential S550 owner.
I can’t afford a 2019 but can get hold of a 2018 EB Premium.

I am still not liking the stock grille. I was really contemplating to go down to 2017, as CJ Ponyparts has the awesome halo grille light upgrade.

But anyways..would like to know from you guys if it’s possible to make the 2018 stock look like this Shelby...at least the front end.

Really love this look.

Or if there is any aftermarket store who can supply the grille replacement which looks like the red mustang?

Thanks in advance

If you can't afford the price difference between a 2019 and a 2018, I'm struggling to understand how you can afford to contemplate major after-market revisions to the front end.

Right now Ford has 0% on 2019s, that's a massive savings.

I have never purchased a brand new car.
Financially I can afford a brand new car but my conscience won’t allow it :(

I was planning on spending somewhere between 18-20k on a EB premium and then spend around max 5k (in stages) on mods.

No rush...just saving each time I get a small bonus :), so I can buy it cash

Depreciation on a low-mileage used 2018 vs a new 2019, most likely. CarMax has a ton of used 2018s and lower.

Conscience is emotion in disguise, and usually not the right answer.

First, your "planning on spending somewhere between 18-20k on a EB premium" doesn't mean you'll find a smart value in that price range. For $18-$20K, it will be high-mileage and/or worn out, and probably out of warranty. A quick search on Cargurus.com shows what you can't get for 18-20K in an EB Premium.

That makes no sense, when you can do a 0% loan on a brand new EB Premium, for around $27K, and have 3 years of bumper-to-bumper coverage. You're using someone else's money for no charge, and you can pay the loan off as quickly as you want.

That's called being fiscally smart. Or as smart as one can be, when buying a Mustang.

It is a rabbit hole when you start talking about buying cars.

For a little more you can get this. Few bucks more you can have that. 27k is getting into base GT money.

What you are talking about wanting is a 3-4 year old car. Most of the Shelby stuff will not fit the refreshed front. I would also add the Ecoboost motor is not a good starting point if you plan to mod. They will take some more power but you will burn money if you push things.

Honestly I would like to know where you’re getting an 18 EB Premium for 18-20k. That what you’re posts are indicating. If that’s true you would most likely still be under warranty.

You can find them in GA for around 22k, which can be bargained down close to 20 and change.

Few of them I saw were around 35-40k in mileage.

Damn, you are so right. Didn’t realize they were going for that little. Found 2 in my area for around $22k. They had 21k-32k miles. I hope you find one that’s just right for you.
