This doesn't make any sense to me, LOL. If they wouldn't put what I wanted, my happy a$$ woulda went somewhere else.I had my local dealer tint my side, rear quarter, and rear windows using "their guy." They didn't give me a choice in tint percentages...
Correct. The dealer was doing some courtesy work for me, so I said as long as the car is here, go ahead and tint the windows for me. They said sure, and it never even occurred to me to ask about tint percentages. (I did the same with my BMW at the local BMW dealership and was very happy with the result. Obviously, results may vary...)I read that as he didn't ask for anything specific. Not the same as them not giving what he wanted.
The only part that seems weird to me is that they would presume to tint so dark without asking you and to a level generally known to be illegal (its >=30% light transmission in a lot of States including yours - mine it's 35%). Dealers tend to have done what would pass inspection - seems dumb for them to assume liability w/that dark of a tint.Correct. Meh, it doesn't bother me. I've had lots of LEO's drive past me with no problems... Even hung out with a state trooper at my last track day, and he had nothing but nice things to say about my car.The only part that seems weird to me is that they would presume to tint so dark without asking you and to a level generally known to be illegal (its >=30% light transmission in a lot of States including yours - mine it's 35%). I have LEO friends - they're cool - and they're not the ones that I ever worry about (be it ghetto tint or a not installed front plate)Meh, it doesn't bother me.
