The Mustang is sold internationally. The GT350 and 500 are not. Ford needed to comply with some newer European safety regulation(s) which required them to redesign the front end and presumably is also the reason the GT350,500 and original S550's are unchanged from original design. That's why the 18+ Mustang is called the Euro S550.
the S550 was specifically made with the hood being as tall as it is to make it legal in Eurpoe. I dont know how they got around to passing with the lower front end. The "original s550" is more "euro" then the 18+. So "euro in fact it was hated on by every one when it was released. Of course 15-17 owners dont remember that now

When the s550 first came out, i fell in love with the front end, i wasn't even a mustang guy, at least i didn't like the s197 enough (13-14 look nice) to own one. but the 2015 reveal got me.

When the 18+ came out, i flat out thought it was ugly....then after a while i was on the fence with them, but they eventually grew on me. They killed it with the rear updates with the angled tail lights, lower valence, and pp1 spoiler..

The frotn end looks good, but there are some angles of the car that I prefer the 15-17.

If the s550 were born as identical twins, the 15-17 would be the male and the 18+ would be the female (cause it has more curves in comparison)

I was anti 18 facelift until i seen it in person....... then i bought my first mustang. i think it looks way more aggressive and better. Headlights look meaner to me. I am not 100% happy with the triangular vent thing on the ends, but a cervini upper and lower helped out a lot. I love the look of the GT350, the GT500 looks like they borrowed a Bomex bumper from the 90's and i think its ridiculous but i know im in the minority there.
Yeah, I pretty much agree. I've said before that there are things I like and don't like about the pre- and post-18s, but for me, the post-18 is a net gain.

I'd like to get a lower grille that had the "fangs" lined up with the stock upper grille, because I don't want to replace the upper one, just the lower one. I think the Cervini lower grille lines up with their upper grille, and it's not the same as the stock grille.

"Moreover, the GT350 and GT500 models have specific cooling and aerodynamics requirements and changing the bumper, headlights, and hood would require additional modifications to meet those requirements. All this would involve new CAD drawings and additional tests in the aerodynamic tunnel. Simply said, why put more money on something that already looks good and customers like it?"

Spoiler Alert;

The GT350 hood is lower than the standard GT for 15-17. So your 18-19 is NOT that much easier to see in front.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying here. To me, it would indicate that both the GT350 and 18-19 hoods are easier to see over than the 15-17 GT, and that the 18-19 are more like the GT350. Did I miss something?

Personally, I like the '17 front end over the '18 front end, and I have an '18. Now for the ass, the '18 looks soooooo much better. Overall, I prefer the '18. I guess it all comes down to whether you're a tits or ass kind of guy.

Yes. the GT350 hood is easier to see over than a standard GT. It was one of the first things I noticed when I got in the GT350 from my GT.

From this angle I like the 15-17 more. The 18's grille is super wide, which gives it the catfish look.. The lower grille leaves something to be desired too.

Cervinis grille really makes both front ends look way better.

I didn't like the big humpy hood on the 15-17. When I saw the hood line on the 2018 I liked it enough to buy one.

Would like to see a side by side comparison of the tail ends.

I'm the opposite. The hood peaks from the driver's seat is one of the unique things I love. Most cars have boring, flat hoods. Also the hood character lines on the 18 are like "okay here we go up the hood... ohhh crap I gotta go over there to match the carryover character line by the door, crap". The 18 front looks like plastic surgery on a beautiful woman. The lines on the 15-17 have theme and harmony together and you can tell it's a single cohesive design rather than a plastered-on refresh.

Sorry did I let all that out?
