Because who can resist the Classic Cue Ball? Also, the OEM knob just didn't fit my hand...

How did you manage to remove the stock knob? I’m having a hard time removing it. I’m using a towel and a soft jaw grip and it just slips. I’m scared to apply too much pressure because it might ruin the leather on the stock knob.

Did you have trouble getting close color match on that FP banner? I tried twice from 2 different vendors and ea. was considerably more orange in color than my '18 RR GT350. Gave up .....
The banner FP banner comes as is from Ford. You might be able to get custom banners where the company matches car colors. I just liked the white red contrast to the white stripes and race red color on the car.

2 Months from when it was rear-ended, Just pulled back to square on the frame machine and now removing the inner and outer rear sheetmetal.

Worst experience of my life with the other party's insurance. Already $1500 out of pocket for something that wasn't in any way my fault (between attorney costs, appraisal and having to buy my own parts to get repairs done). Barely 10k on the clock :( , but happy work is starting after so many delays. Getting real sick of the 19 base camaro rental I have.

I am pretty sure I read that MGW recommends using a rubber strap wrench, which typically have a plastic handle with a rubber belt connected to it. I haven’t tried it though, but it makes sense.

How hard was the carbon fiber to install
Actually went pretty well. Removed the stock vents and cleaned up the residual adhesive from the double sided tape. Test fit the carbon vents several times and sanded down a few high spots on the back side of the vents. Used some high quality double sided foam tape I purchased separately to keep them in place.

It was, quite frankly, an absolute SOB to get off!:muscle::curse::whew:

As mentioned, head down to Home Depot or Lowe's and get yourself a strap wrench for about $10. Double up a micro-fiber cloth around the OEM knob to protect it. Crank counter clockwise and pray the wrench doesn't slip and put your fist into the dash.

Got my car back from the performance shop in preparation for my next Watkins Glen track day.
They changed engine, trans and diff fluids, installed stainless braided brake lines front and rear, did a brake fluid flush and changed brake pads.
They also performed the strut tower enlargement using the special Vorshlag tool allowing more camber. See picture, very professional and clean result. After new alignment front camber is now -3.0

I decided after 9000 miles to clean the barrels of my wheels. Took many hours. It will be all for naught after one trip around the block. I did use the Reverse Logic lug extenders which were fantastic. I waxed the barrels to see if that would hasten the cleaning of the brake dust off in the future. Just wasn’t motivated to ceramic coat them.

While you were typing the number 9, it looks like you accidentally hit the zero on your keyboard and it got stuck!

Hahhahahha! I’d lose my ever lovin’ mind if I went 90 miles. My barrels get full clean any time I touch the wheels. But I no longer run stock pads on the street, so that helps tremendously.

I wash my barrels with a brush every time I wash my car. But I went further today by taking the wheels off and doing a thorough cleaning.

Completed the install of the Ford Performance springs with Vorshlag camber plates and took a quick drive. Kept looking at tires and trying to decide what to do for the new wheels...
