I watched Tuning Tuesday with VMP yesterday and the 7.3 and 6.2 was discussed and my suspensions were confirmed. The 6.2 was grossly neglected in the modification department and there are some 6.2L Raptors running around with 600 horsepower NA. The heads are gigantic and bottlenecked by mediocre camshaft profiles and valvetrain components.

People are gonna think SBC is a hard swap after this one.

I couldn’t think of a better thread than this one for this pic. Just because you can isn’t always a good reason too.

There's a you tube video of Brian Wolfe with his Red Fox Body.
Shows the evolution from 12 second ET's to running nines.
Couldn't help but notice how much the new 7.3 looks like a Windsor with C3 Yates heads.

The 7.3 is going to be a awesome engine.
Too bad the heavy truck market is being used as the back door to get it to market.

Wonder how many guys 20 years ago were saying the same nonsense about the V10 from the Super Duty? I bet that would've been a Lambo Killer

My neighbor just traded a V10 Super Duty in for a 2015 Ram w/dual exhaust. He got $3495.00 trade in at a Chevrolet dealer.

Member on another site said they had heard/read that this engine will NOT be for sale anywhere else other then ordered in a truck and the only way to get one would be out of a wreck. Don't know how much truth there is to that, but just passing it along

I don't see how that would be possible at all... So if a motor blows years down the road people will have to buy another truck and not another motor...

I think hes saying it wont be a Ford Performance catalog order. Ive never ordered just a straight engine from a dealer before. Wouldnt it be weird if Ford's best engine that it ever built...isnt even available next to their other performance engines...weird times gentlemen
