Looking for CF center console/door handles

Hi everyone,

I’m in the market for Carbon Fiber Center Console and window switch/door handles. I saw a video of a guy replacing his plastic center console on YouTube and it was a great improvement to the look of the interior.

If you know a source, including vendors on this site, please let me know. Vendors, if you have these items, please reply or shoot me a PM.

I’d also be interested in the stitched leather console.

You can get the stitched leather console and side bolster pads from Ford. There is a thread in here for interior mods like that.

I saw that thread. After some more thought on this, I’d rather have the CF part. I just put film on my door switch part. It came out ok. First time I’ve done it and i see every imperfection, but the parts came out without too much effort. I’ll load pics in a few minutes. I wont even bother with the center console, i’ll Just buy that part whole.

Ok, so i’m still pretty bad at this. I made a rough stencil and cut the cf film a bit wide, and still managed to come up a bit short on the edges. Overall, from 4 feet away, i think it looks ok, better than the plain door release blank anyway. So far, I have 8 bucks into this look. Lol definitely looks like a 7.99 job.

Hi, could you provide some pictures from the drivers side? I purchased mine through trufiber.com and the finish is awful! I've got inconsistent weave patterns and can you believe the clear coat has started cracking and bubbling in less than a week?!

Also, what has been your overall experience with carbonplug? My understanding is it's located outside the U.S. and they get their products from China/Germany (which I have a hunch is where trufiber gets there's).

Anyhow, any feedback you could give me would be really helpful.

I might be able to help out. Here are some pictures of work I have just completed on my car.

There are plenty of door handle trim in CF overlays on eBay. But all of them are for models without the memory seats (Leather comfort seats). There is also a nice fitting CF molded overlay for the overhead console (map lights) as well as a coin tray replacement on American Muscle. I did the door panel window switches, overhead console and coin tray to enhance the CF dashboard. They all match well and replace some of the rough texture plastic trim. You can go nutz if you like and CF nearly all of your interior if you search.

What I pictured are custom pieces I made personally for my car in real carbon fiber, not overlays, or hydrodipped. I am aware of the center console you mentioned, that company made a handful of them. The cost of production against demand at nearly $1,000.00 per unit wasn't a profitable endeavor for them.

Trufiber for the real carbon fiber stuff and dynaperformance for stick on. I have a full real carbon fiber center console.

I'm not interested in a CF center console, but given the line of thinking that 350 owners seem to have, my next piece will be a center console. The project will be documented, then when finished become a wall hanger. So when a 350 owners come to the garage they can look at the unattainable.

Life is good when you have the skill sets to build what others have to pay dearly for.
