I had my 2017 Mustang GT premium performance package for about 5 weeks now and I've already put Roush axle backs and the x pipe and the cold air and the Lund tune. Next month I'll be 74. I love the sound.

The exhaust on your 19 is a totally different animal than what is on my 17. So an H pipe was perfect for me. I do believe you have active exhaust yes?
Yes. I want deeper but not louder.

Very nice. I have a bunch of those wheels if you ever need some, and sadly I am looking to sell the Chevelle. I just don't have the energy anymore for it. I have had it since 1982, original big block SS with build sheet.

So how many seniors have replaced the stock exhaust with something louder? As a kid I used to smile when my dad would be aggravated by loud exhausts going by our house. I did it with my V6 but went back to stock because of drone. I probably do have less tolerance for that compared to younger days. I will eventually try something else, though, 'cause stock is too quiet. :)
I'm 73 and on my 2017 GT premium performance package I have Roush axle backs and the x-pipe resonator delete and the cold air intake. In the morning when I cold start it I know the neighbors can hear it. Personally I love it.

Back in the old days (early 70s) I had a 69 427 Nova. I think it was a Yenko "copycat". The sound of that big engine was something I will never forget. I have never heard any small displacement engine that didn't sound like just a lot of noise.

I had a '68 Charger RT with the 440 CU/375 HP engine....pure music to my ears. I'm not a brand 'SNOB'. I like the sound of anything with lotsa horsepower!! :handsinair:

I have always over did exhaust (too loud). Just put on a Flowmaster American Thunder axle back on my 18 GT and love it. This system actually runs 3” mandrel bent pipe from muffler to almost to the stock resonator. Not just a 90 degree bend off muffler. Nice deep classic FM sound.

I have good hearing for my advanced age, I'd like to keep it that way. The Ford Racing by Borla Touring cat back is plenty loud on my '16 GT without being deafening.

I have Borla Type S mufflers with the rest of the exhaust stock. Just right for my 53 year old ears. A good rumble and a little talkback on decel. With a tune it has even more crackles.

Went to a car show yesterday. Not my thing but couldn't help noticing 100+ cars, mostly driven by seniors, that sounded louder than trains.
