Price? Did you get any paint correction? Did they ceramic coat the wheels for that price (take them off the car)? Thanks! Just want to evaluate this price I got. I really do want to expand to get all the area you got, but am concerned about the price.
Yes, full paint correction.. I had the wheels and calipers done.. it’s been a while .. think the total was around $3k. Ap3 in Atlanta did the work.. had them do another car recently that was used and must say that the paint correction work is great!

Sounds about right for both the tint and wrap based on Atlanta pricing. Windshield tint is a preference.. I am running 50% on the front and 35% on sides. People who ride in the car do not notice the windshield tinted unless I point it out
I think I’m doing 20% on the sides, do you think 55% on front would make it too dark with 20% sides?

My truck had 5% on side and 35% on the windshield. So.. I am probably the wrong person to ask if it’s “too dark”.

I think it will will look nice.

I did all the areas in red..

- Entire front, mirrors, A Pillars and the roof line
- bottom of doors and front of rear tires and behind

Plus full ceramic.. I think the roof line and pillars is a must (Plenty of bugs and crap in this area).. . Don't see any activity behind the rear wheels.. but see see some evidence of debris , etc. in the area in front of the rear tire.. I should have wrapped the black trunk plate..

I also did PPF on this and added the rear black trim piece between the tail lights (seemed to get scratched with use on my GT350 so I wrapped it with my R and glad I did)... total was about $3K for my PPF.

#1--Hey guys, just took delivery of a 19 GT350 Magnetic w/ Black stripes. Was quoted $550 to tint windshield 70% and do rest of the car 20% with Xpel XR Plus. Is that a good tint with excellent heat rejection? Decent price? I also can't decide on 55 or 70 for the front windshield....

#2--Same shop is quoting me $1,600 to do Xpel PPF on entire front of the car. It seems like PPF is recommended with this model of Mustang due to paint issues? Is this a decent price for PPF?

#3--Any shop recommendations around Mooresville/Charlotte, NC?
1. I went with my installers top of the line ceramic window tint, no windshield, for about $600

2. I got the ppf xpel ultimate on the front bumper(everything south of the hood), headlights, and back of mirrors. Full paint correction, 5 coats of ceramic pro gold, including wheels for a little north of 2K, cant remember exact price, it was a few months back.

3. I live not too far from you, I'm in Raleigh, and this shop is local to me so about 2.5 hours from you I would think.

Car looks absolutely amazing and the ceramic is making washing and maintaining it a breeze.

Thanks for that pic, same color/stripe combo as mine, so its nice to see that shine on it! Did your windows already come tinted, then you added to it? Mine says "vitro tint tempered" on the glass (assume thats the norm), so I am curious if people are tinting it darker than stock? If so, what percentage did you go with? I dont wanna go too dark, but yours looks pretty good. Thanks!

Not sure about the factory tint, but the installer definitely didn't take any off the windows before installation. I went with 40%, don't want the hassle of getting a ticket. I went with the really high end ceramic tint so I think it looks amazing and it could just be placebo effect, but it definitely seems to keep the car cooler.

For PPF, are most of these shops disassembling the car at all? This shop is claiming they won’t disassemble, is that a bad thing or a red flag at all?

The detail shop that coated and tinted my car quoted me $600 for 3M Crystalline. I ended up with 35% Suntek CXP for $300. I am in NoVA so there's probably the DC tax in those prices.

As for PPF, can't help since my car is only ceramic coated.

I'm glad to see you're asking questions about PPF. I just took delivery of my 2019 GT350 in Ford Performance Blue as well just 3 week ago. I used a local installer that's been in the business for 30+ years. He doesn't use the Xpel templates, all free hand trimmed work. This is a full nose, mirror, door cups, door edges, and I had him do the area in front of the rear tire well. He followed the body line an made a gradual drop to make it even less noticeable. He is a true artist! (based here in Portland, OR). He charged $1895 for the full nose, $150 (extra for doing 5 separately trimmed pieces on the hood for stripes), and $186 for 6 rear quarter panel pieces. For $2131, it was worth it to me...the installer is the most important thing! You're already in around $65K why go cheap now (that's my thought). He also removed all trim pieces to ensure an invisible install (ie. GT350 emblems, oval hood grill, etc). I'm AMAZED at how GREAT this looks, I would definitely recommend 5 pieces on the hood. Here are his comments:

"On top of the usual full edge and corner wrap we also hand trimmed the film around the stripes and then covered them in a separate piece of film to avoid the bubbles that are usually seen when the film is laid over the top of everything in one piece. This way it also keeps the factory feel of the transition from the vinyl stripe to the surface of the paint making the installation that much more invisible."

Xpel Ultimate just saved my asS. Semi kicked this up onto my hood and windshield. Can’t see any damage underneath and getting that section replaced.

They are down to $1,450 to do XPEL ultimate PPF on the front half of the car, that is sounding more reasonable to me. The installer is the owner of the business, SunStoppers of Charlotte, NC, and he's been doing it for "years" but I don't think he's going to dissemble anything. I will likely let them do it next week.
