Looking for recommendations to do a square set up on my GT cali special (light mods, in signature). While I love the OEM wheels, I also want a little more width and grip and would also like to have a second set for summer tires and keep a set of all seasons for cold months. I've driven a GT350 and am hoping to get 80% of the way to that amazing turn in feel by putting on some 285/35r19 (or possibly 275/35r19) summer tires on a 19x10, or second choice a 19x9.5. Figure this should set me up in case I do add more power in the future. Doing square for rotate ability.
Driving will be cruising backroads and mountain roads, so primarily going for feel and look. Might do an autocross here and there, but no other racing. Def don't need forged wheels - flow formed would be perfectly fine.
I was very happy going to a wide, square set up on my S2000.
Since my mustang is black, with all the white decals removed, I would think a bronze or gold wheel would speak to me. A dark grey would also be good. Prefer gloss finish to matte.
I was going to be all over 949 racing's 19x10 offering, but then they stopped developing it.
Ones I'm considering already:
SVE SP2 19x10 +35 satin bronze. I think the Ford PP2 wheels are beautiful, and these are a cheap option in bronze. I don't love the stain finish, a gloss would speak to me. All of the SVE wheels seem to do this. I am also fine with them being a little more on the gold size than bronze. The price is very nice on these at LMR.
XO Luxury Helsinki 19x10 +40 dark bronze. Haven't seen many people running these, for better or worse. They're a little pricey compared to the SVEs, but I prefer the look of them.
Velgen Split 5 - I like the look of these, but only come in 20's and staggered.
