Just curious if people still use the OLM when using synthetic oil?

Before winter storing my car in December I swapped to Mobil 1 synthetic oil which states it's good for 10k miles. Pulled it back out in March and after only 5500 miles the OLM states car needs an oil change. I drive the car pretty hard but no track use. Do I follow the OLM or the 10k miles Mobil 1 recommends?

Thanks

Always the OLM. Following an oil manufacturer's recommendations will not keep your warranty intact, unless they're more conservative than the OLM.

The Ford OLM sucks IMO. The reason it went down on you with the car sitting all winter is because it's designed to go from 100% to 0% in 1 year (even if the engine is never started), which is about 2% per week.
