Really? I actually prefer a u-joint on both ends, those CV joints seem to always be where DSS shafts break...

My recommendation would be G-Force, it has a u-joint on both ends of the shaft
I suspect that has a lot to do with the quality of the CV’s they supply. Their website quotes the CV size as 108mm which implies it’s a Porsche 930 CV, which is the same as the CV’s they supply on their 800hp half-shafts.
After breaking a few in my DSS half-shafts, they’ve supplied me with 2 different breeds of CVs (both still 930 derivatives). The first ones didn’t have any evidence of being hardened and the fact that the balls indented the stars was fairly telling of that.
Honestly, at this point, I won’t be buying anything from DSS in future.
A quick look at the recent half-shaft debacle (found here https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/dss-2000hp-half-shaft-blown-boot.124298/) should be enough to deter people.
Pics of proper shite CV stars included.

I too have had a terrible luck with DSS. I'm on my 3rd half shaft as the first two were incorrect and didn't fit. They sent me replacement parts that I had to assemble on my own to make them fit and they too were incorrect. How fucking hard is it? Half shafts and drive shafts is all you fucking do. Figure it out

I just put the QA1 Carbon Fiber driveshaft on my 2018 a few days ago and raced with it yesterday put down 9 passes on it. It’s smooth as silk, NO vibration and very quiet.

Note: I did have some light vibration after install at 110 MPH. So I clocked it one time 180* on the pinion flange & No vibration - fixed.

QA1 makes a sick DS. It's what I run and I'd stick with it 10 times out 10. Got a lot of passes on this one after breaking my DSS shaft.

Happy with my shaftmasters. Almost no NVH added, car feels much better with it. No slop or delay, car accelerates more instantaneous now.

If your staying with the stock one put on a stifflers safety loop for peace of mind. I dont even track my car and did that lol.

ShaftMasters DriveShaft is hands down for the money.Do not let the price run you off because they have cut out vendor markup.Just went 10.83 132MPH on mine.

If you want the best possible products...
Driveshaft - QA1
Halfshafts - GForce

I wouldn't put anything from DSS on my cars if it was free.

ShaftMasters no longer makes a driveshaft for the 2018/2019 10r80. To many vibration problems. They told me 50% were sent back, they can’t have that. So, they won’t make them now.

Hands down the QA1 driveshaft is worth every penny for the 2018/2019 10r80. Smooth as glass, no vibration and light.

Same experience with my qa1 smooth and responsive but without that initial 110mph vibration. Been on the car 2 plus months.

Funny when I first reached out to Shaftmasters about a DS for the 10r80 they told me as well they would not be making them but not due to vibrations due to all the problems reported with the A10. Oh well it encouraged me to do the qa1 so it all worked out.

They told me the vibrations or other issues were from the 10r80.
