If you go used and can handle some risks in terms of possibly maintenance costs you could get an audi s8, bmw m5, cts-v . Id probably go with a 09-15 cts-v2 I had one and it was good but I totaled it. 2016 V3 would be awesome but pretty expensive

Genesis G70 over the Stinger easily. The interior is hard to beat and has the performance to keep up. If you still want the v8, charger and cts-v are your best bets.

Chevy ss is a great all around car but can be tough to find a good deal. Charger skat pack can be optioned into a solid 4 dr alternative to the mustang and they go cheap used.

We really like our ‘vert but we made a decision that when we both retired we did not need the expense of two vehicles. If we could turn back the clock we would still be driving our 2014 RAM Laramie. The back seats on the Mustang are useless and it is not practical as an only vehicle for us. We will be trading it in next spring on something more useful. Our two criteria are roomy back seats and a V8. I will miss driving the Mustang but like the OP, ours too has to go. :)

Charger hands down. Four door, plenty of room and with the scatpack, plenty of power.

I almost bought the stinger over the mustang...the stringer is a pretty bad ass vehicle. I had just wanted the mustang for years so stuck to it. If I got rid of the mustang I would buy the stinger in a heartbeat.

Thanks for the suggestions, some inspired stuff there. To my shame I'd never heard of a Kia Stinger, always associated Kia with ordinary everyday family cars. Certainly worth following up.

I'm in the UK, so the steering wheel has to be in the right place (!), so the choice of US cars is really only Chrysler, the 300 and Jeep with the SRT engine. Look to be a bit tricky to find a decent one, but I'm no rush.

I don't like the BMW 3, so an M3 is out. Merc C63/E63 is a possible if one that hasn't been barried to near death at the right price.

The Genesis V70, the boss says its too ugly!a SUV.

Don't want

Ideally I'd keep the Mustang and sell the relatives, but that is a no no, I'm told.

I've been researching the Genesis G70. I know I didn't want a sedan, but that thing looks pretty sweet and is fairly quick. Stock it can do about 4.5 to 60 with a top speed around 167. From what I hear a plug and play tune can add up to 90hp and 100tq to the stock engine and allow it to hit 60 in about 3.5 seconds and a tuned one on Youtube buried the speedo at over 185! I'm not sure what that would do to the warranty and engine lifespan though.
