I’ve got a buddy with MT SS 305/35R19 on his stock 9.5 PP wheels. Looks and works great. Lots of guys running 305 on 17x9.5 Racestars. If you’re not worried about the fronts/rears matching, I would grab a set of 17X10.5 Racestars and some 305/45 DR. You’ll be good to go
Awesome! I am planning on getting a set of the project 6gr 7 spokes but wanted to wait until next year since I just dropped a load on paxton/fuel system but I might look into getting my drag wheels a tad early to make due

So hopefully not a dumb question but everyone talks about what tire to run in the back, but if I'm not trying to run skinnies up front what do ppl do? Mix and match? I have 275/35/20 MPSS on all 4 corners and after putting a paxton on my car it spins even at 80+ mph and am shopping for new 20 inch rim tires.
Yes I always run a drag radial in the back with normal size tire in the front and then sometimes switch to skinneys in the front when I go to the track.

I just got an edelbrock 2650 and I'm wondering what wheels and tires will do ok on the street with 680whp?
If this is a warranty application you cant run any of R series if you read the fine print it specifies that cant run anything but a street compound and 15% larger than stock max. Just to caution. I bought some used Proxes sports to try ( treadwear 200 I think) was better cause honestly anything but something like an SS Nitto R or R88R is simply dangerous with a 700 wheel a10...I found some treadwear 100s think they were one of the MS tires 295 on a 10 inch wheel...

Upgraded half shafts will assist and complement the 555r.

Will the gt350 half shafts be enough if you're roll racing?
I know some have gone that route but I'd prefer the piece if mind of more. That's why I upgrade axles before even going FI. But, that said for roll racing only I'd say should be fine. Problem is there's no guarantee you'll only ever want to roll race.

I tell you in a week how the R888r's do with FI. I put them on to prepare for FI. I currently have them on my NA 2018 and they do not spin currently when punching it from a dig.. We will see what they do once I SC it in a couple days

Run your stockers til they break. Then upgrade. I can't imagine you'll hurt the car roll racing. The axles break on launch. Not while your moving.

If you need treadlife get MPSS/MP4S. Rears last me 20k+ fronts almost double that. And they hook fairly well especially in hot weather.

They will never hook as well as a DR though. If you can afford it or dont do that many miles, go that route. If you only roll race you probably wont break an axle.

Anybody running 305 PS4 on the rears?
I'm running 4s 325s on a NA e85 set up. Great tire for rain and back roads, not so good for straight line performance.

How are the drag radials for cornering?

I’m also at 680whp and I run 305/35/20 Nitto 555R’s and absolutely happy with them and they hook. I’m also a manual trans.
I am at 640whp and run 315-35-20 Nitto NT-05’s out back. Manual transmission. Hooks and handles.
Like others have said; I’d far rather have the tires kick loose than a axle break.
