I'd support the negative on a big wing. I actually like no wing, I think the body lines look awesome without one.

And "stancing", with negative camber and super low ride-height, or wheels that stick out past the fenders.

I'm very thankful that in general I like a stock appearance. If not, I'd spend too much money I don't have on the car.

And as an older gent, I do like the chrome trim that can be applied around the side windows, that really looks Aston Martin tasteful to me, on the right colored car. I'd guess the younger folks aren't interested though.

The place I've seen the most side window chrome trim is on Japanese "luxury" cars. And when it's applied to the Honda minivan, that vehicle instantly becomes a hearse.

Oh, yeah. What mods would I not do? Really loud exhaust, really low springs, really big wing, really dark window tint, really fat tires (really!).

I tend to stay away from the majority of visual mods, with the exception of wheel upgrades and maybe a small drop. All the mods I have done to my cars over the years are not noticeable by most, but go towards improving driving experience and maximizing power for performance.

The back seat driver Wife Mod. I wouldn't do that again.
Ill definitely never order that option again, hands down the worst mod!
Wide body kit with bags....just looks ridiculous and im in my 40s so that must be a in the 20s early 30s thing. Saw one for sale with the body kit, still for sale 6 months later lol, good to take for shows to show off but I like to drive my cars and not just stare at them.

What mods do you see that you would not do to your car? I am thinking there might be some differences in what we older guys will do to their cars.

Edit: I'm mainly asking about mods that are at least somewhat common, not the most outrageous "one off" mod you can find on the internet, lol.
Not do? Most all exterior appearance mods, including scoops, louvers, tint (whether on glass or lighting), staggered tire sizes, more than about 15 mm lowering, and OE-width wheels pushed out to be "flush" with thick spacers. Forced induction or nitrous. Loud exhaust. Stickers (with the possible exception of track map decals).

What I will do as mods (not triggered by needing some repair being an excuse to upgrade) is mostly out of sight and done to make the car more suitable for running on a road course. That's probably the shorter list.

No thanks to excessively dark tint in multiple shades (such as car with 50%/20%/5%), looks cheap.
No thanks to deafening loud exhaust.

Young guys like poke on their wheels. I hate poke...and although I'm only 52, I just cringe when I see it. So hell to the no on the poke.

Not really struck on 'over the top stripes' but don't mind rocker panel stripes !

Forgot....

Tint. Can't stand it. Looks silly.

The worst is 'vert owners that then tint their windows. That just makes no sense.

You mean like this?

Insane amount of tire stretch.JPG

Forgot about that one. At least it wasn't on a Mustang (a Mitsubishi of some sort).

What the hell is that? Is that a massively too narrow tire on a rim?
Exactly.

Stretched beyond all semblance of sanity. And this is coming from a guy who'll run tires on max-recommended wheel widths.
