Could be. Depends on how you drive. Lots of short drives and other things can reduce life a lot. Time counts too.

Did you reset the monitor after your last oil change?

It hasn't been changed yet. I was going to do it soon, just surprised to see the factory fill last 1,800 miles.

I wonder if the car sat for a good while on the lot because I think the OLM has a time limit likely a year mind you. Mine has about 1700 miles on the factory fill and shows about 80% remaining. And it is not babied lol

Which is better for the oil life, actually. Short trips that prevent the oil from heating up and burning off any moisture or contaminants is what prompts more frequent oil changes. A daily driver with a 45 minute commute will have its internals in much better shape than a car that has a 5 minute commute.

Seems very early but I would change it anyway, I changed my initial oil at 1175 miles because I wanted to get the original oil out and put in full synthetic. The first oil change should be the shortest interval of all changes.

Well, changed the oil yesterday, and happy to report still no tick! It seems many develop the tick after the first change.

The tick isn't even considered harmful. All the main issues with the 2018/2019 were associated with the rattle. No reason to lose sleep over it.
