I mean, I'm not saying it's built for it, but my 12 GT had a metric ass-ton of no lift shifts.

It's worth .3 at the drag strip from my testing.

It survived it lol

I have it on my '16 PP1 track car because it's included in the Power Pack 2 tune. I tried it once and was not impressed. You keep your gas foot to the floor and when you hit the clutch the engine control system modulates the revs while you shift. Once you fully release the clutch it goes to full power. The problem is the thing is like an on/off switch and it is very harsh, I did it on a 4-5 shift on a road course and got wheelspin going into 5th, enough that the rear end was stepping out at over 100 mph. That was on R spec 305 tires. I think it's a good way to lunch a clutch/gearbox, given how much trouble those two parts give. Might be OK for draggers but on a road course it's worse than useless and possibly dangerous. It also can cause problems if you are slow off the clutch on an upshift, it thinks you're trying to do a no lift shift and you get a series of stutters or a misfire. You have to be really fast on the clutch release to keep it quiet. I really wish they'd let you turn it off but they don't, which sucks. It's a gimmick and not much more.

What about doing a 4-5 shift on the freeway? If you just hold the gas pedal in a decent amount and then press the clutch in, do the RPM's suddenly jump higher or stay the same? You can abort the shift if you see the RPM's shoot up. I'm going to try it next time I have the Stang out.
In my experience it has to be a full throttle, high RPM shift. Otherwise the RPM's shoot up. In other words, same as without having NLS.

....I say that with caution as doing so repeatedly, hitting the limiter, is not good for various reasons.....
Other than beating on the engine, there's nothing wrong with hitting the limiter. It's there for a reason.

I tried to engage this "no lift shift" on my GT this morning on the highway. Didn't push it too hard. Driving in 4th, floored it and as the RPMs climbed to just over 5K I pushed in the clutch. As I expected, the RPMs shot up as the clutch unloaded the engine. Maybe this only works at a redline shift. I'm not comfortable doing that yet. My gut tells me this is a feature only for the Ecoboost models.

I no lifted my bolt-on Mach1's 3650 for 7 years at the track. These trannies can take more than people seem to act like they can. People running supercharged at the tracks and not breaking them. A few 7K attempts at no-lifts isnt going to break them.

I no lift shift mine pretty much all the time, but I've been doing this since the fox body days. Old habits die hard I guess...

When I gradated college in 66,I bought a 67 427/435 vette convertible,4 speed car.whish I had kept it.anyway, friend of mine who raced showed me how to power shift.well, long story short, after blowing the tranny 3 times in 6 months,Byrne Bros dealership said I was racing the car and the next tranny was on me.it was too tempting,so bought a used 65 gto a lower reving car, also wished I still had it.

Thank you for all the input folks!!!! I almost tempted to try it today but I never no lift shift before in any of my stangs only once in my escort and do not want to ruin anything. The stang is only a month old with about 2000k on it lol.

What I’ve been reading is the 18s do not have it but people are saying the 19s do but still haven’t received a 100% solid answer lol

This is my first post, I was just wondering if 2018+ have the NLS as stated in the ford brochure ? I can’t seem to find a solid answer, not much talk about it. I have a 2019 Mustang GT PP1 300A I got it a month ago would it have the “No Lift Shift” Feature ?

Thank you.
AS far as i am aware, GT does not have NLS. Not in the owners manual not the supplement not on the Ford website . Some of the Camaros have it but not the mustangs .
