Sequential Tail Light problems 6th gen. USA

Guys, I need some help. I've done a search on USA sequential tail light problems to no avail.
I find issues with the European cars and after market units like Raxiom but what about
USA cars ??

So, when ever my lights are on, the drivers side tail light has the OUTER MOST LED
( of the 3 ) is lit bright red. When I use the left turn signal the inboard and middle LED's sequence but
again the outer LED stays lit bright red.

I took it to the dealer and they updated and reprogrammed the BCM. That fix lasted a week. I'll be taking the
car back to the dealer but I need.......

Sounds like the taillitght has a short inside. Swap taillights and test.

OK. Thanks for the idea. Apparently, Mustang owners of ALL generations have very few problems with their sequential lights
because I'm having a devil of a time finding info on this.

Hopefully, it's not an actual tail light unit. Those puppy's are $1000 each ( I believe).

Hope not. Not sure if they are serviceable, but if you bought the car used who knows what may have happened to that taillight in the past.

Actually the car was 2 years old when I bought it (22,000 mi). Purchased from CarMax. My Ford dealer has a 2 wk. lead time..UGH. We'll see what happens

Seriously, you telling me I'm the ONLY 6G owner that has sequential tail light problems!! WOW...lucky me.

I have the same problem on the right side middle
Dealer said the light needs to be replaced fortunately it is under warrenty

Please let us know how that turns out!! I have never gotten an answer as to what controls the light sequencing....could be the BCM, could be the
actual light unit...Dunno. We'll see. Thanks for posting

Hard to believe a light bulb problem is a $1000 part repair ~ I gotta think it is the $5 sequencer inside it that needs repair or replacing !?

parts dept ordered the wrong side
will be Friday before I can get the right one installed
