No idea. I have a fully active front and sub and cannot complain.

If doing High level to the amps/DSP use the front channels. As far as i know the rears in the 6-speaker configuration have some kind of bass roll-off.
Still it would be better to reprogram the ACM to variable line level and defeat the stock EQ, too.
This way both front and rear channels from the radio will carry full range signals.
^This. Do this.

Buy a high-level input amp for your trunk sub (check Crutchfield). Run power to it. Disconnect the speaker wires from the rear shelf speakers. Use those wires as L/R high-level inputs to the sub amp.

Do this before anything else. You will be surprised at the result. The door speakers are decent.

Remember, that due to the bass rolloff on the rear speakers you need to raise the gain on the amp for the subwoofer. This can lead to a higher noise floor on the sub channel.
