I recently tried to sell the 18 inch foundry wheels that came on my 15 V6. A potential buyer tried them on his 18 Mustang GT but they wouldn't fit over the front brakes. I figured they wouldn't fit over Brembos, but this was not a performance pack model. This was a surprise to me. Weren't those foundry wheels also an option on non PP GTs? Or are the 2018+ standard brakes different so the wheels fit on 15-17 GTs but not on 2018+?

Yes, they were on 2015 GTs. Parked next to one at a meet last week. They came on my 051a 2016. Can't help with info on the 2018s.

I don't think the brakes changed, as long as they weren't Brembos it should still clear. Was it hitting the caliper or just close?

Supposedly hitting the caliper. Took them home to try them out so I didn't see it myself. Said the rear fit fine but not the front. Before taking them he asked me if they fit a GT when he saw my car was not. I asked if he had the Brembos and he said no. So, either he was clueless and he does have the Brembos, or the base 18+ brakes are different, or he changed his mind and lied about it.

They are the same size as the base GT wheels. They fit non brembo GTs. He either didn't want them or didn't know what his car had.

Yeah, I am inclined to agree. I looked at the 2018 Mustang brochure and they're listed as an optional wheel for the GT just like the previous years. Thanks.

They will clear base GT brakes just fine. I wish someone made a 19x10 replica of them, as I love that wheel.

Yeah, I still don't get the buyer who said they didn't fit. I totally agree about wishing there was a bigger version of those wheels. I really like the style.

Yup he either returned them with a lame excuse or had PP Brembos and didn't realize. The stock 18x8 rims will clear.

Stock 17s will not? Someone correct me if im wrong. Always wondered this.
