After waiting for the better part of a year for the 2020 GT350 ordering guide to show up I tried to order one. Neither my local Ford dealer nor a huge Twin Cities Ford dealer can get an allocation. My 2012 GT convert has 221K miles and I want to order something but another GT convert would be my 3rd, and after 349K miles in GT converts since 2008 I'm ready for something different and more powerful. I'd slam both thumbs in the car door before buying a Camaro or a Vette or a Dodge . . .

Two dealers is hardly the point to throw in the towel. Two years ago when I got my R I was calling dealers across the country across multiple nights, eventually over 25 of them, and ended up flying across the country to get the car and drive it back. Just keep looking and expand your radius. In the long run if it takes a one-way plane ticket and a bit of a road trip that'll be minor in the long run.

Local dealer here in VA has a 2020 allocation at MSRP

If I were you I would find a 2019 to your liking and save the hassle of the 6 month (or however long) wait for a 2020. They are the same car with no changes except a few color changes. If you are stuck on a 2020 Randy posted this great lead on 2020 allocations.

Just don't think you will find an allocation and have a car within a few months. The ordering guides say late availability whatever that means. Hopefully the 2020 production will not have the problems that the 2019 MY had but who knows with Ford.

Plenty of 2019's are sitting at dealership now at MSRP....Koons in Falls Church has a few. Given that the 2020 ans 2019 are the same except for colors.....whats the big beef? Go get a 2019. They also have a 2018 4K under MSRP.

Definitely is an option. Some people do enjoy ordering their own, though. I personally would prefer a 2018 or 2017 over the newer cars as I would want to avoid the Cup 2 tires.

Lol. I've owned each one of those and they all have their merits. We still have the convertible manual Z51 vette. Just got back from taking it thru TX wine country for the weekend.

I live in Kansas City and I got my GT350 from a dealer in Tampa, FL. I did not ship my car, I drove it from Tampa and it was worth it.
