RTR Tech 5 Official Install Thread!

Since there’s an install thread for RTR Tech 7 wheels I figured it’s only fair to create one for the RTR Tech 5s! I’ve been looking at different wheels for a while and finally opted for 19x9.5” Tech 5s in the charcoal finish. Tires have been ordered and everything will be installed this Saturday. Can’t wait to see how it looks!

Had the wheels and tires installed this morning at the Discount Tire in Greenville, South Carolina. They did a great job and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Tires are 275/40r19 Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2s mounted on 19x9.5s. The car is currently on stock suspension. Bad weather moved in after I had them installed so phone pictures will have to do for now!

I finally took a couple pics after a wash. Pics are just from my phone, but if you're considering these wheels hopefully it gives you an idea. Car is a 2019 PP1, lowered on Steeda progressive rate springs. Wheels are 19" staggered with stock PP1 tires for the time being.

Finally got a chance to break out the DSLR and take photos of the new set up! Wheels are 19x9.5" all around, 275/40r19 tires, and the car is stock height.

Could anyone tell me if a 305/35/19 would clear okay on this wheel.... rears are 10.5

That will depend on whether you are stock height or lowered.

I'd also like to know if the stock caps will fit these. I just ordered the rears. The front are backordered for 5 to 6 weeks so hopefully I'm not waiting forever.

They do not fit. The stock ones are much smaller than the caps on these rims.

The 10.5s are listed as rear only, any idea if they'll fit the front? 9.5" probably isn't going to cut it for me.

If I remember correctly, there should be a thread about the RTR Tech 7 wheels on this site and there was a member that posted he was running the 10.5’s on all four corners. I am sure he had to run spacers for the fronts, but don’t recall the size. Guessing if the Tech 7’s fit on the front, Tech 5’s would also.
