A retro naca in the same place as the current vents that is actually plumed to the cold air box wood be titties. Hood treatment like the 71-73 and I think the current hood would lend itself well to that
I agree the NACA hood would look great on the Mustang. The old shaker hood just doesn't fit the S550 Mustang.

It appears that the battery electric Mustang inspired SUV will be called the Mach-E. I watched the Ford corporate quarterly presentation and Jim Hackett, Jim Farley and Joe Hinrichs all used that specific name when discussing future projects and that BEV utility.
So.... maybe since Ford reapplied for the Mach1 trademark name recently (June 2019) could we be seeing the return of the Mach1 as a Mustang model??????
Really hope so!

I absolutely agree with your thinking and I'd still prefer the Mach 1 to be a "traditional" model with a pure V8. Let's not forget the Mach 1 trim replaced the "GT" from '69.......although of course, back then, there was a massive choice of engine/trans options to choose from.

I liked the idea of the '03/'04 Mach 1 which sat nicely between the GT and the Cobra, effectively using a n/a Cobra motor. I still think a new Mach 1 could sit between the GT and the GT500, using a n/a CPC 5.2 V8. I even think there'd be room for both this AND the GT350, despite both being of similar price points. Keep the GT350 the paired back (in terms of luxury) manual only track focused car........and make the Mach 1 the more luxurious version for aligned to being a street monster, with 10-speed auto an option.

I guess this is where I think the hybrid version would make sense. The GT350 is a high-revving screamer.......the Mach 1 with either the 5,2 CPC or even "just" the 5.0......but with an extra 200 lb/ft torque from the electric motors. That would make it a street light to street light monster!
Cant forgot the 6,694 1969 Mustang GTs that were produced!! lol

I can see the Mach 1 moving right into the Bullitt's spot with all the Bullitt's whistles and bells and the 480hp engine except have the A10 and a option.

The Mach-E is a total disgrace to the Mustang name, it is a 4 door disappointment. The road testing proto-types are out in Allen Park, MI. They need to rename it, maybe a good name would be the Edsel 2!!!!!!!! It will be made in Mexico.

Please FORD do not put the Mustang name on it!!!!!!!!

I'm with you 100% that it should not carry the Mustang name or Pony badge.

I'm sure it'll be a great car, but it should do so without needing to borrow the Mustang's street cred.

Exactly or perhaps a Boss version with 500hpp and a A10 at 40K
I ike the C8 but if Ford built a 500HP Boss or Mach 1 at 40K I would buy it

The Bullitt starts at 47k I think a 480hp A10 Mach 1 one would be more like 52k.

There's a TON of unsold bullit's out there....They can be had for a great price now.
Ford should build a 480-500HP Boss or Mach 1 and offer a A10 for starting price of 41,995

It would sell like hotcakes...
