I am wanting to get a street setup by next spring, and have read tons of posts but still can't decide what will work. For traction sake I'd like absolutely the biggest tire that will fit but still be rotateable for street life. Not only square, but not a directional tire to be able to cross rotate. If I have to run front spacers and extended studs that's fine. I'm thinking 295/35/19 is about the biggest I can get away with.
Now the catch. I am not a corner carver other than an expedited on ramp loop. For alignment the front camber is stock -1.5ish, and the rear is only -.5. Also lowered on BMR drag springs 1.5" front/.5" rear. I am thinking a 19x10+35 in like the lmr replica lines, or would the 19x11+50 and possibly 305's work without a ton of camber? I really like the Velgen VF5. Don't know the specs on them right now though, and the price point is a little bit of a catch.

Or should I just bite the bullet and get a staggered setup and deal with wearing out tires quickly?... I really do want an affordable longevity DD setup tho.

Let me know your all wheel and tire recomendations.

This thread at the link is good for identifying the wheel offset and spacers you would need to run 305s all around on 11 inch wheels. Many go with 285s all around for a square setup on 10 inch wheels with 35-40 offset.

I'll let others chime in on specific wheels and tires. Depends on your expectations and budget.

To run 305s on 11s you will need front healthy camber, they barely fit.

285/35R19 on 19x10 ET35 or 40 is a good wider than stock square setup.

Could also do a square 295 tire on a 10.5” wheel pretty easily with extended studs and spacers with less camber required than 305s need, but IDK if you could find the right wheel, its an uncommon setup.

295 tire 10.5” wheel ET 50-52 with a ~15mm spacer would be close if you wanted a square 10.5” 295 setup, flush with small camber numbers.

So maybe 19x10+35 lmr replicas with continental 295/35/19 extreme contacts be a good setup? Found another post same wheel specs(different wheel) and same tire lowered on sport springs, but probably running more camber... This tire would be slightly shorter than the 28's I'm running now so should give a little extra room on the fender lips even tho wider tire in the front. Still a directional tire, but better than staggered to be able to at least rotate front to back.

Or if I can convince myself to spend the extra $$$ the VF5's with same tire 295-30-20. The tire itself is nearly identical.

Need @Velgen to confirm the offset on them.

All I can say is the person who posted that thread was wise to work with someone like Paul at PK Auto Designs, who has a lot of expertise, in achieving that fitment. Maybe those Contis in 295 run narrower .... I don't know.

Ya but they also had some serious camber in making them fit. I wont sacrifice drag strip performance for making a street setup better.

I hear ya tho, read it in full detail before even making this post. And they were also 11" wheels. I've abandoned thoughts of fitting 305's

A couple of shots with 19x10 square fitted with 285/35/19 , 40mm offset on the Ruby Red. The GT350 next to me is running an 11.5 wheel with 325/30/19, 55mm offset on the rear and 11's on the front with 305's. Definitely get the poke on the rear ones.

I like how those stay inside the fender lip. 5mm difference in offset from what I've been eyeing.

I think rear camber will affect your drag setup vs front camber. Contact patch is the rear tires

Agreed for going, but front camber on skinny front tires plays a role too having contact patch maximized for slowing down at the end in the event you need as much braking power as possible. Less front camber would be ideal for straight line stopping contact, but gotta keep some in it for steering manners.

I was just about to link that thread. I’m fighting back and forth between square and staggered but my issue is a little different.in your case, I’d probably go with one of LMR’s 19x10 square offerings and slap a 295/35 on them and roll with that. Their offsets are’t real aggressive so they’ll fit good with your camber specs and they’re pretty good value

Your stance with those actually look perfect. Are you on stock ride height or lowered? Is 40mm offset the sweet spot to run 19x10 squared? I'm taking it you have no issues rubbing or tires hitting fender?
