Clips and a magnet. So if you've fabbed a new tunnel in CF or aluminum you can eliminate the magnet to save even more weight.

Clips like the rest. They come off with some force. You wont brake them

Might have to look into this. Curious how the knee cushion pads mount to the console sides - adhesive, clips, velcro????

So the stock console sides have to be drilled for clips for the knee pads?

Dumb question but can you remove the old console and replace with the new one without removing the shift knob?

You sure can. Only thing you do with the shifter is pop up the bevel from the center console part.

Dang I wish I would've seen this earlier. I was waiting on the 2019 parts catalog to come out to order the red soft touch stuff for the 2019 Rs. Nice surprise I can order now!

Figure's they lifted this right out of existing stock. So after research the red stiched stuff for the Rs is lifted right out of the Redline Interior of the 2018+ GTs.

So I decided to order the following:
JR3Z-63044E50-AA: Console, Red Stitched Soft
JR3Z-6304609-AA: Knee Panel, Red Stitched Soft
JR3Z-6304608-AA: Knee Panel, Red Stitched Soft
FR3Z-6306024-BE: Console Door, Red Stitched
JR3Z-7277-EA: Shifter Boot Assembly, Redline

I ordered the shifter and console door as well that the 2019 350s won't even come with. No real difference other than the stitching. I liked Shifteck's alcantara replacements but wanted to keep OEM look/longevity.

For the shifter boot I had to order the whole thing — I will transfer over the boot itself as I don't think the assembly is compatible with the 350 shifter.

Interestingly, the 2018 GT350/R parts catalog already shows the upgraded soft touch console. There does appear to be a blue stitched version

I like it. I ended up returning the center console and shifter boot in favor of the Shifteck "alcantara" kit however.

As mentioned before, the knee bolsters are excellent — very plushy.
The center console isn't bad. It is basically a vinyl wrap. Not plushy. I think it's a big improvement over the scratchy plastic everyone harps on. But don't expect it to be a leather-like wrapped piece or anything.

Jury is out if it's worth the cost. It really irked me getting into a top of the line Mustang and seeing the scratchy plastic interior. Something felt missing. I'm pretty happy now after adding:
1. 2019 Interior Console + Knee Bolsters
2. 2018+ GT "Safe & Smart" Frameless Rear View Mirror
3. Shifteck Alcantara Kit
4. Custom Lloyd Floor Mats — correct matching Ebony colors

The Autofanatic guy on youtube will wrap your interior pieces with alcantera, and it looks good. But it can get pricey.

That looks great. There is an Ebay listing from Midway Mustang Parts for the 2018 console with red stitching for $179 if anyone is interested. The left knee panel was damaged so you would need to get that separately. If it was gray stitching, I would have bought it. Passing it along as I don’t think it will last long.

Sorry in advance as I know this is an older thread and I’m new but I know Ford has updated some part numbers and I’m trying to find the correct part numbers for the grey stitch for my 2017 GT 350...

$770 for s

Oh hell no. Almost a $ grand to upgrade to 'soft' plastic and fake red stitching? No thanks

I wouldn't tell someone how to spend their $ but thats roughly what I spent to have my console wrapped in real leather.

Besides, that new contrast stitch they added at the base is an unnecessary detail and makes the fact that it's plastic more apparent.

I chose black leather from Ferrari for the console and Alcantara for the dash pads, base of the dash and rest of the interior.

It wasn't a huge investment but it's one of the most rewarding mods. Car is perfect now
