Any one else think the 10k price for the stripes was a typo at some point and by time they noticed it they were just like "$@*! It. Lets see what happens". No? Just me? Ill find my way back to peasent GTville lol. Agree with the above, if you have the means, get the car how you want it. Cant wait to see your rides start to arrive

I disagree with you cardude. Tomster is by no means throwing his money out the window! Anyone who has bought collectible cars knows that the more rare or unique a car is, the more it is worth. Look at classic Mustangs for sale and see how much additional money is spent on the rarer cars... Everyone narrows down the Marti Report to show how unique the car is....If you can afford it, buying the $10k stripe is a smart business decision... Tom is a smart guy....pretty simple!

Hardly. A pissing match would assume he had something rational to argue or contribute. He's just a looser out for a good troll.

You know people..... just because you think 10K is a lot for painted on stripes, doesn't mean it is too much. Again, how much would it cost to paint them on after the fact and then clear coat the entire car. And the part people are missing is the fact that an aftermarket paint job makes the car into something that is not on the sticker or in the factory specs. Just because you wouldn't spend 10k, doesn't mean I shouldn't. Don't impose your uninformed perceptions on me of your value of money. Its my money and the value is there.

Your dealer has to have a allocation for the painted stripes and the Track Pack. They are very limited.

Just to clarify one thing about getting the stripes after delivery. You dont have to re-clear the entire car. You would need to re-clear everything with the stripe, so bumpers, hood, roof, deck lid. It would be a lot of detrim to do be done correctly. It could add up pretty quickly so I would figure all said and done that Ford is probably only getting about a 2 or 3k premium over the cost to duplicate. It is one of those obscure options that can really bring the action eventually to the right collector but it will take a while for its appeal to catch up with the up front costs.
