on the street unless you are driving hard you rarely notice a high stall converter. Once the trans has it locked up, it drives like stock. That said, unless you have traction its not going to make you faster.

So after I installed mine on my Paxton car I wouldn’t say it made it faster but it helps if you’re roll racing as you don’t drop way down in the RPM after gear change going WOT. Regular driving it just holds the gear longer before you shift, you get used to it and it’s like stock.

Thats all tune based. It depends on when lock up occurs.

I run a Paxton stage 2 with a 4c convertor. With FI it’s not like your going to have traction in the street anyway. But it rides very close to stock. And it made me quite a bit faster at the drag strip.

Thanks everyone.

I know that you can drive like stock on the street if you want to. I'm just wondering if the high stall makes street driving more fun...or just more frustrating because of more spin.

I plan on driving on drag radials.

Thanks!

Depends on your right foot. IT doesn't create uncontrollable wheel spin, if that is what your asking

I had a 5c on my previous n/a build and it was great on the street and the track. Then i added a procharger D1x and it became way to loose for the street. So i removed it and installed an 3200 stall Fti converter which is a perfect fit for my boosted beast. Drive ability is near perfect and wot is a rush. If your staying n/a definitely get a stall speed between 3500-4000 rpm.. it improves your 60ft times dramatically..

Myself, and 4 other people who have driven my car that also have stock s550's said immediately how much better it is to drive on the street. Taking off even without getting on it it's not always lugging itself down like stock. Then locks up around 40 and drives like stock.

Thanks!!
