I am getting ready to buy an extended warranty (Premium Care) for my 2017 and have the following quote from Lombard (after applying a discount code they sent me):

8 years/ 48k miles= $2346
or
7 years/ 48k miles= $2076
Both are a $100 deductible

Has anyone purchased one recently at a better price (lower price or more miles for the same money?

UI appreciate any help you can provide so I can save money!

I wouldn't buy an extended myself. the car would of had break downs already on items that would break, you can apply 2k towards future expense.

2k for just 40k-50k mies is insane.

I just got this from Anderson & Koch Ford:

Deductible: $200 Deductible
Plan: Premium
Term: 7 years
Covered Miles: 36000
Total: $1300

I’ll never hit 36000 miles in 4 years seeing as I’ve done < 6000 in 3 years.

Hi, did you buy that exact warranty? That seems low. I looked at a couple of other sites and those weee costs more in line with a Mustang GT ( not the Shelby).

Just checking before I buy

Thank
You

I went through Flood Ford and bought the ExtraCare extended warranty rather than the PremiumCare. It was $600 cheaper for the same term (8 years, 48,000 miles) and still covers everything that I wanted covered. (PremiumCare just adds the audio system, safety items, and emissions systems.) I checked with my local dealer first, and their F&I guy said he couldn’t touch the Flood Ford rates.

Check with Troy Dietrich at Factory Discount Warranty. This is a multi-make car dealer that gave me the best quote of any ford dealer. It is Ford Premium Care Warranty. www.FD-Warranty.com

For anyone looking to go with a Ford ESP Plan. A fellow Ford enthusiast (finance manager of a Ford dealer) on the Focus RS forum helped out a lot of us with plans at 10.00 over cost. He has the best pricing many of us could find. I asked him if it was ok to pass this along on this forum. If anyone is interested I can pm you his info.

Put in the exact same metrics for both providers and A&K was $580 cheaper.

My dealer "gave" me $1000 off a Ford ESP as an "I'm sorry you car is so late" and the A&K deal is still several hundred dollars less.

i'm still thinking of getting the ford protect ESP. just stuck on which to get: base, extra, or premium? it looks like apples to apples at first glance but they arent. what i mean is that while the base covers A/C, the extra and premium give you more coverage of A/C parts. so that's my concern right now. i'd rather save the $ and get the base as it covers "A/C, engine, transmission, etc", but when you look at the fine print, the extra and premium cover many more specific items that the base doesnt. so for comparison...

here is the BASE A/C coverage (10 items):
• A/C Clutch
• A/C Clutch Bearings
• A/C Compressor
• A/C Compressor Clutch Switch
• A/C Compressor Head
• A/C Compressor Seals
• A/C Condenser
• Evaporator
• Field Coil
• Pulley

here is the EXTRA A/C coverage (15 items):
• A/C Accumulator (BASE does not have)
• A/C Clutch
• A/C Clutch Bearings
• A/C Compressor
• A/C Compressor Clutch Switch
• A/C Compressor Head
• A/C Compressor Seals
• A/C Condenser
• Auto Temp Control (BASE does not have)
• Evaporator
• Field Coil
• Heater Blower Motor (BASE does not have)
• Heater Control Assembly (BASE does not have)
• Heater Core Assembly (BASE does not have)

• Pulley

and here is the PREMIUM A/C coverage (16 items):
• A/C Accumulator
• A/C Clutch
• A/C Clutch Bearings
• A/C Compressor
• A/C Compressor Clutch Switch
• A/C Compressor Head
• A/C Compressor Seals
• A/C Condenser
• Auto Temp Control
• Evaporator
• Field Coil
• Heater Blower Motor
• Heater Control Assembly
• Heater Core Assembly
• Instrument Panel Registers and Air Ducts (EXTRA does not have)
• Pulley

looks like the EXTRA care is a good one. it's only lacking the instrument panel and air ducts of the premium. maybe i'll end up with it, or maybe i'll just spring for the premium if it isnt much more.
