Bought this mmd v series hood scoop a while back but im on the fence on installing it cause I'd have to drill into the hood. Figure I'd post it up to see if anyone local might be interested in it. it is just sitting on my car and is not installed. Comes complete with unopened install kit.

SOLD

I think you should put it on. I like the look. What color is it?

Interested, drill in the holes to mount the scoop or cut out the part in the hood so it's actually functional?

i dont understand what your sayin. you have to drill into your hood to mount it. i dont think you can make it a functional scoop.

heres a video of how to install it.

Long answer Yes it is possible to make it fucntional, but depends on what you are looking to do to cool your engine.

Air intake:

you need to remove the fake honeycomb and cut the center piece underneath the scoop and remove the face and block the rear of the fake scoop so air is forced to go into the engine bay
Effects: A cold shot of colld air will cool your engine bay temperature specially at track or high speed runs
Negative Effects: This will produce Drag, reduce top speed, worst fuel economy and let water goes OVER your engine when rain.

Hot air exit scoop.
you need to keep the fake honeycomb and cut the center piece underneath the scoop and leave rear of the fake scoop open, so hot air is forced to go out from engine bay
Effects: This will not cause drag so your top speed and fuel economy is not affected, Traped hot air in your engine bay will leave making room for cold air thus cooling your engine a bit
Negative Effects: In cold weather if your engine is running hot you will have humidity (fog) in your windshield due to air condensation.

hope this helps

sorry not looking to ship. would be too much of a pain to box up and cost too much. plus dont wanna risk it being damaged.
