Not New England Dragway, nor any other NHRA sanctioned tracks that I know of. If you run a 9 without the safety equipment listed in the rule book, they'll escort you to the gate.
It used to be 11.5 before a roll cage. NHRA recently changed the rule for newer cars and you can now go down to 10.0 without a cage.

Chainsaw, what do you see the roush doing better then any of the other kits? In my eyes, if you have it installed and financed at the dealership or you want the warranty are the two good reasons to get the kit.

The stock tune really limits performance to the point of a bolt on e85 car. Most people run mid 11s with the roush. I live in Vegas and the heat soaking is a serious problem. hot lap and that trap speed plummets.

I’m not trying to offend you and I’m happy you are pleased with the kit. Most people that are dropping 10 grand on forced induction are wanting more performance. I think most guys that buy the roush don’t drag race so they are happy with the seat dyno but trap speeds don’t lie

I think it’s important to look at what normal people run with a setup.as an example, That whipple aldo weld car ran 8s on a stock engine. Those dudes know all the secrets. It’s not a great reflection of what will happen if I slap together a whipple and fuel kit. Know what I mean?

I think this is a great reason to consider a Roush kit. Let’s say the average person owning GT has a budget of $12,000 to $14,000 to spend on FI. One considers PD, Turbo or Centrifugal kit with the add ons for e85 which (please correct if I’m wrong) should be good for about 800 to 950hp. Is it safe to say that a individual may have a 80% to 85% success rate without an engine failure on stock internals? When I did the research for my car knowing I was installing a FI kit on an engine with a 12.0-1 compression I expected failure at some point with only 650hp and change to the wheels. A warranty in the first 36k miles made my decision for me.

You keep trying to compare apples to oranges. The Roush stage 1 is comparable in performance to the Whipple stage 1 and the Edelbrock stage 1. There is only about 10 HP difference between all 3 kits on the dyno. You keep trying to compare the Roush stage 1 to the Whipple stage 2, and the Edelbrock stage 2. Theres no comparison there. The stage 2 kits will outperform the Roush stage 1. No question about that.

Lets compare apples to apples. You fail to compare the Whipple stage 1, the Edelbrock stage 1 to the Roush stage 1. All 3 have warranties. All 3 come with tunes that protect the warranty. Yet all you've done is single out the Roush.

Yes the Roush does have a heat soak problem, You can't hot lap it in it's stock form, but there are ways to remedy the issue without voiding the warranty.

Yes, Up until last August the rules stated that you could run a 10.0 but the car had to be all factory, with only a drag radial tire allowed. I spoke to the Techs at New England Dragway last June, and they told me the only supercharger they would allow was the Roush/Ford Performance, so I bought a Roush. That rule was ammended last August to allow after market induction.

Let’s say it’s a great/ amazing sc system. The others are just better with more upgradability. we live in a great time as car people to have these options.

I think whipples warranty is up to 5 grand iirc. Roush warranty seems better.

Curious... Have you hit the track or run 0-60 times since you've installed your Roush? Also did you get a before and after dyno? I just ordered mine last week.

No to both. I need to install my DSS 2000 axles first, and i'm already on a PBD tune.

The 2 big complaints about the 18+ Roush blower is the small inlet and heat soak. I would say get the VMP Dual Fan Triple Pass Heat Exchanger but I don’t know if it’s compatible yet with 18+. I have a 17 Roush 2300 putting down 688whp and I added the VMP Triple Pass and what a difference with IAT2’s.

I would love to see Roush offer Stage 2 and Stage 3 kits like there competition and stay up in the horsepower wars and not just for the warranty Stage 1. They really do make a great, reliable blower.

At this time both the cooling system, and the intercooler system are empty. I changed out the pp1 radiator for a Mishimoto 3 core with a 170° thermostat. I'm still waiting to get the VMP triple pass back from the welder. (He's on vacation right now.) Changing the inlet and outlet to work better with the Roush system. I didn't want to run 9 feet of hose to make it work with their inlet and outlet placement. I'll be running distilled water with water wetter in the warm weather, and a 50/50 mix in the winter.

I have only been to the 1/4 track with my 2018 Roush car once. Was 90F (32 C). Not sure what the DA was that day. But it was hot lol. Running 305 NT05R in the rear. All stock 401A car, full weight...including my fat butt in the driverseat. My best run was a 1.6 60', 7.0 1/8th and a 10.9 at 125MPH. I was having a tune issue...logs showed popcorn and speed limiter engaged at 125mph every run. It would kick in at approx the 1200' mark. I am super busy this summer so haven't had much time to test. That and the nearest track is a 5 hour drive for me. Once things settle down I will be doing some logging and going with a PBD tune. I feel mid 10's and low 130's is for sure obtainable. I did not purchased this car to run 9's. (although I'd like too lol). I bought this car on a whim...it was an executive Ford demo with the supercharger already installed. Had 2000 miles when I bought it. Paid less than the MSRP sticker price WITH the blower installed. All at 0% financing. I saw it, and l liked it, so I bought it. Sure its not the fastest mustang out there...but it will blow the factory Michelin's out at will...and runs like a swiss watch on long road trips.

Those two highlighted statements are how I feel about my older 2300 Roush on my '16. I can't care any less what it would do at the 1/4 mile strip (if I ever went to one). If I wanted BIG horsepower I would've gone with a bigger blower. Sure, I did some upgrades to mine because I like to fool around with stuff. But at approximately 750 hp at the flywheel it's PLENTY fast enough for me. And with this level of reliability, I'm over the moon happy with it every single time I hop in it.

If u went 10.9@125 on a 90 degree day on a drag Radials with the roush stage one kit and roush canned tune I would say that’s excellent times

So many people knock the kit, everyone babbles about heat soak. In all my years of racing we never lapped a car at the track, we ran our cars, we let them cool and ran again.

Now roll racing is imho bull poo, in my area and my era roll racers were considered boobs.

U came to a stop, and raced....Period

Lastly comparing a full bolt in NA car on E85 to a roush on 91, that’s a tuff call but again you'd never goat me into roll racing so it’s a mute point

Very impressive times pal

That's awesome man. Very impressive.
I have a 2019 Roush Stage 3 car 401a car with the A10 and it is pretty fast. A 93 octane VMP tune would be tits. lol
