Stock 2018 6 Speed GT 1/4 Mile times

I launched as high as 4200 to prevent the car from bogging. I have a feeling that launch control is having a negative effect on launching on a prepped surface. Next time I go to the track, I'll be trying a launch or two without assistance.

You sure as hell did way better than I did. I took mine down to MIR yesterday to try my hand at it. It's been many years since I went regularly, and it showed. I was never great at it, but yesterday I was down right terrible. I could not get a good feel for the clutch getting out of the hole and my best 60' of the night was 2.5 as a result. I kept bogging the hell out of it.

I was trapping 110/111, which was right in line with my friends 2018 A10 car, although he was running mid 12's. Not sure what the DA was, but I doubt it was good, the weather was kinda nasty.

Took me 3 track days to hammer it down, the first few passes were WAY worse, especially coming from the SRA world haha.

It came down to ALOT of clutch clip being necessary to get it off the line on stock tires.

You guys using launch control or going raw dog on your launches?

Launch control, IMO is horrible.

Couldn't get it to NOT bog using it at any point in time.

Only clean passes I could get were Traction control off and no Launch control, slipping the clutch from 2500 or so.

Yeah I believe it. I had it up close to 3k and it was still bogging, but I was having a hard time getting a good feel for how much slip it wanted. My drag racing skills are crazy rusty, and it shows.

Sounds like it has about a 12.40 in it for the average Joe bone stock. As a
Reminder, Evan Smith of MMFF fame ran a 12.20...

12.7@113 in a 301a non PP car. 1.99 60'. It would launch harder, but I'm afraid to break it. The 2018 really needs a better gear. I was shifting into 4th with less than 100 feet left

I know this is an older thread, but my 21 gtpp hits the limiter at the top of 113 in 3rd gear. Is yours the same?

What gear set did you get? 1st time out for me was sunday and i was pretty much crossing the line at the top of 3rd each pass. 3.55s gt/cs.

I havent had the chance to go the track yet but when driving on the highway. Gtpp 6spd manual 3.73 gears. Always hits limiter at top of 113
