Dudes (and the occasional lovely lady if you're out there),

Have any of you put 305 and 325 MPSS's on your 10.5 and 11 inch wheels? I want to see what they look like. My OEM 295 and 305's are almost dead. I have an extra set of Pilot Super Sports 305 and 325 on 11 and 11.5 inch wheels but I'm thinking of switching those over to my OEM wheels for street use and then getting a set of track tires that I actually want. Goodyear Eagle F1 R3's if anyone is curious. I got to experience them recently and I can see why the ZL1 1LE feels so damn good now.

friend has a SS 1LE and he swears by those supercar 3 tires. about $1000 cheaper per set than MPSS or P4S and since he wont drive his car in the rain, might as well.

do you mean the 3R and not the R3?

you may be able to find some low mile take-offs in the 3R too, from those not tracking the ZLE. Mine lasted 4k miles and were toast lol.

Yeah no surprises there. They're supposed to be Sport Cup 2 competitors.

Michelin's website for the Pilot Super Sport tires shows that the 305 has a recommended rim width range of 10-12", so you should be fine there with the 10.5" wheel. But, I couldn't find where Michelin has a 325 width as an option for 19" wheels, but for the 21" wheels, 325 recommended rim width is 11-12".

Yeah I know I was going to be fine with the width. 325/30-19 does exist. I'm sitting right next to two 325/30-19 MPSS's lol. And it's a popular option for GT350R spec'ed wheels.

I just wanted to get a look at the aspect ratio since they'll bulge out a tiny bit on 10.5 and 11 inch wheels which in this case I'd WANT for street use.

I believe ya, they're just not listed on the Michelin website for some reason.

For what it's worth, my '18 GT PP1 has stock 275/40 R 19 on the 9.5" wide factory PP1 rear wheels. Michelin's website for the Pilot Sport 4S lists the recommended rim width of 9-11" for that particular tire. So, similar to the 305 but just an inch wider. They don't look silly or like they are bulging.

Also, back in the late 90s and early 2000s, Trans Am WS6 and Camaro SS used to come from the factory with 275/40 R17 all around on only 9" wide wheels, and they looked fine.

Yes, so with the 305 on the 10.5 and 325 on the 11, I'd like to think that the tire wall will bulge a little to give me some more tire meat so I'm actually a little above "actual measure." I think I just might do it.

325s on a Mustang is quite rare, and I'm sure will look plenty fat.

Ok, so the OP is asking about 325/30 MPSS's and I haven't run those. But I am half-way through a set of Pirelli Trofeo R's in 325/30x19 on OEM 11" rear rims. My issues with this were minimal, but there was one really important one - the tires rubbed on the upper shock mount with the stock 62mm offset. I'm running 7mm spacers now, giving me a 55mm offset. They do stick out a bit, but they don't rub on anything and I've done 5 track days with them - if they were going to hit something, they'd have done it by now.

If you do this, I'd be interested to hear the results - particularly whether the rears clear the rear suspension adequately.

Thanks,
